^5 to lastquest. I'm a 43 y/o man taking care of my 68y/o mother in a wheelchair, my brother's 2 teenage children, and now another teenager that needed a safe and secure home.. So I am also getting started with learning to store food for long term to make sure they will be taken care of. I also bought things for canning, a food sealer and now bought a dehydrator after watching Tammy's videos. THANK YOU TAMMY for all your knowledge. I subscribed to your channel and am learning a LOT! God bless!
Such excellent presentations are so helpful. Wish I could watch while I am doing it. We have to go next door to use our neighbors really old dehydrator. They took 5 days to dry raisins. I don't think that sounded right.
when you do the sweet potatoes, what do they look like when they are done, are they flexible or more crisp?? how long does it take in the Excalibur 3900, I did some and not sure if they are done right ???
I did my fruit and it didn't look like yours especially the oranges, are they to be brittle or alittle flexable? I have not tried anything else except the strawberries, not sure if I did those right either/
I really enjoy your videos but I'm curious about the claim that it doesn't cost anything to preserve food through dehydration. How much power does the Excalibur (which I'm buying soon!!!) actually use, how many watts is it? It seems like running anything for 8 to 12 hours would be pretty expensive, not to mention the added cost of pre boiling some foods.
Please go to our web site Dehydrate2store and enter our free give away of a
9 tray Excalibur Dehydrator. All entries must be in by Dec.21, 2009 we will video tape the drawing. Also, you will find many more video, tips and recipes so spread the word and tell your friends. Good luck and Merry Christmas to all. Tammy
Hi lastquest, 40% of the people on our site are men so there is nothing strange about it, I think we are all trying to find ways to take care of our families. I think your smart and caring person for taking an interest. At our web site deyhdrate2store you can enter for our Christmas give away of a 9 tray Excalibur. So please drop by the site and enter.
@lastquest I had to chuckle, I'm a 24 year old recently married man and I spend a lot more time on this stuff than my wife. Love the videos and tips!
Excalibur website. I saw your video's on their site. You need to make some money for all your work you have put into this. My opinion . I want the one you use....
Tammy, you have opened our eyes! Since listening to your video we have purchased a dehydrator, a slicer and taken notes on all your video's. We are on our way. Thanks for being so thoughtful and giving.
Tammy, thanks for all your brilliant tips but key these words "microwaved food" into Google and you may find you're undoing all the brilliant work you've created. I would do a little study into this 'cos you'll find the ovens dangerous.

I've been watching your video's and I
am drying Texas sweet onions now.
I hope to make some onion powder and
chopped pieces. The banana's are
really good. I sprinkled cinnamon on
them and they are so good. I love the
fruit and vegetables I have done.
You need to be a affilate . Go to the
Excalibur website. I saw your video's on their site. You need to make some money for all your work you have put into this. My opinion . I want the one you use....
