This is clearly a beautifully written piece of music as is Twilight a beautifully written story. It's not about whether the movie is rubbish or not but where it originated from and that is in the imagination of women. The book really is well written and has captured the hearts of millions lets not slate what someone has put there heart into.

This is my absolute favorite song ever. I have heard it so many times, in commercials or movies, but never knew what it was called. I've searched forever and now I know what its called! I'm so happy that people get to enjoy this beautiful music, no matter how they got there. Its simply the best!

I think many persons dislike the movies and books because they belong to the fantasy genre but are (very uniquely) set in our modern time. We are used to period fantasies like Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings that dictate we step into a different world and allow us to suspend our disbelief. This piece invokes all types of different feelings. Perhaps playing of montage of twilight is not to everyones liking. The reality is that music and literature are both forms of trying to convey emotion. Perhaps that is why whether you relate to this musical piece or the image of the two young lovers on Twilight or shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet...it doesn't really matter if nothing else to see that humans are still emotionally engaged is what is important.

This is my absolute favorite song ever. I have heard it so many times, in commercials or movies, but never knew what it was called. I've searched forever and now I know what its called! I'm so happy that people get to enjoy this beautiful music, no matter how they got there. Its simply the best!

I have never seen Twilight, nor do I intend to, but that is just my taste in programs and my option. That being said, I don't understand all the nasty remarks from the Classical Music Fans, against the Twilight Fans. No disrespect, but the comments sound very snobbish. As if this song will somehow be tainted because it was connected to Twilight. You also seem to be judging others by a single program they watch. In the grand scheme of things, how important is this really? Perspective folks.

If the song is good enough, it will stand on its own merit's, irregardless, and maintain it's respect as a well composed classical piece of music. And if it's a great piece, it will be around for many years to come, while the show it played on will be but a distant memory and nothing would have changed, except the number of people who would not otherwise have been exposed to this type of music. Don't you think so?

@Msdistarr hey, I loved twilight. Take away the vampires and ware wolves and you are left with a beautiful love story. I loved 1984 just as much any Harry Potter book. Appreciate wonderful things as they are and be more open to things that might just make you happy for no reason other than that they appeal to the child in you or perhaps just your softer side.

In reality, Twilight is a footnote in the history of this song, not the other way around. In a few hundred years people will still be moved by this track, and will be like "Twilight?! is that one of those bad 2d 'movies' about 'sexual vampires' from when they only made remakes of boardgames, bad cartoons and such?!.... whatever.... Debussy really could write for piano like a madman though." Or think about it like this, there are already more books written about Debussy then the Twilight saga

I think it's amazing that this song is in the movie and it opens teens (and adults like myself) minds to new kinds of music. This is a BEAUTIFUL song and I think it's awesome that it's in Twilight. I think many persons dislike the movies and books because they belong to the fantasy genre but are (very uniquely) set in our modern time. We are used to period fantasies like Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings that dictate we step into a different world and allow us to suspend our disbelief. I think the negative comments come from youngsters who have never truly been in love or romantically obsessed about someone who they couldn't or shouldn't be with. Your time will come. Till then lighten up!

I love Twilight and until very recently, I am learning to appreciate Debussy though I want to listen to more if not all Debussy has to offer. Twilight fans: please learn to be open-minded and don't trash beautiful classical music that has deep meaning. Debussy fans: don't diss Stephenie Meyer. She's done nothing but write amazing novels that appeals to teens.

This piece invokes all types of different feelings. Perhaps playing of montage of twilight is not to everyones liking. The reality is that music and literature are both forms of trying to convey emotion. Perhaps that is why whether you relate to this musical piece or the image of the two young lovers on Twilight or shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet...it doesn't really matter if nothing else to see that humans are still emotionally engaged is what is important.
