Your English is perfect, silly! Depending on whether it's an eau de toilette (weaker) or a pure parfum (highest concentration of perfume oils), a fragrance will last on the skin anywhere from 2 to 24 hours. Intense Arab perfume oils can last for days!

Another factor to longevity is whether your skin is oily or dry, and the amount of humidity in the air.

If you're enjoying the orange/vanilla/spice of Hidden Fantasy, you might also look into Lolita Lempicka L, which is quite long lasting.

For all of my fragrance reviews, I either have the full bottle, a decant (that friends make me from their collections) or a sample (either from the store or sent directly to me by the perfume company). I need to have a decent amount of the perfume to hand so that I can test it a couple of times, or to reapply to revisit the top notes.

Also, I hold onto all my decants and samples to keep in touch with the gazillions of perfume releases, and to compare to new ones.

Thanks, Acemanwar. I prefer Hidden Fantasy to Midnight Fantasy, which just smells weird and ultra-synthetic to me. Hidden Fantasy is okay, but unless your sis would be especially thrilled to get a Britney-brand perfume, you might also consider Nina Ricci Nina, Marc Jacobs Lola, and L by Lolita Lempicka. Those are all sweet fruity florals, like Hidden Fantasy.

Hidden Fantasy was alright I guess but after Fantasy and Midnight Fantasy I expected it to be better! It fades so quickly I sampled Deseo and hidden Fantasy at the same time one on each arm and I went to Friendly's and during dinner I could only smell the Deseo! Bummer because I like Brit's fragrances but I will most likely buy it anyway for my collection.

An easy way to familiarize yourself with sandalwood, frankincense, neroli, ylang-ylang, jasmin, etc is to zip into to a Whole Foods or health food store and sniff out their selection of essential and aromatherapy oils. You'll start to build up a mental profile of these different scents.

Also, keep a "conscious nose" when you're around food - spices like cumin, pepper and cardamom also appear in perfume. And don't ignore nature - the smells of flowers, weeds, animals, rain and smoke all inform the character of our favorite fragrances.

I just bought hidden fantasy and I want to return it as soon as possible. It deffinately doesn't smell "good enough to eat". To me, it smells like a mixture of men's shaving cream, spices, and oranges. It smells awful for the first 30 minutes and the dry down is decent, but I still don't like it. It's a bummer because I love the bottle and I loved her original fantasy and midnight fantasy.
