  • I saw Night Ranger in concert in the 80's at close "range"-get it? Awesome concert. We saw the Seven Wishes tour and they rocked the house!jeff Watson doing his 8 finger, finger hammers on Rock in America blew me away! This band rocks, even with a new guitar player and keyboard player besides Jeff Watson and Fitz.

  • This song brings back so many memories from the time I had just graduated from high school. I am happy to see that there are so many good comments here from younger people who enjoy this great classic music of Night Ranger. :)

  • Funny thing is allot bands cloned these guys with little success!

  • It sounds like my relationship right now

  • back when guitar players really learned to play their instruments and cared about tone... the lead guitar is artful, tasteful and well thought out... the lead line that starts at 2:17 hasnt been bettered by anyone since then... jeff watson, teach me oh mighty one

  • the 70s and 80s rock noone beats this kind of music

  • There is only one Night Ranger.

  • This so brings me back to lying on the couch during a lazy summer, circa 1984/85 or so right? Used to watch these silly vids night and day, good times not forgotten MTV used to be so cool when they played fun videos like this.

  • @jer5150cam If you were really lucky you were getting laid on that couch.

  • I want my MTV! The OLD MTV! :(

  • Shit there's an official video for this song. WOW

  • Another reason I miss the 80's.

  • Man, Night Ranger was one of those quiet bands who were huge in the mid-80's. They were everywhere, but not much was said about them like other bands. I remember my friends big brother seen them in 85' in Great Falls MT, he was a reserved guy, but to this day said it was the best concert he'd ever been too.

  • NR hit #19 in Billboard, 10-12-85. God bless ya, for postin' it. Thanx! Have a great weekend!

  • Night Ranger still stand tall and proud among the best of Rock. Love to karaoke this tune @ 4 A.M. whenever I can. Good times then, and now.

  • I'll be seeing these guys down in Disney in November. Lucked out that they are playing at Epcot when I'm there.

  • love the song, brings back memories

  • That camel was cool!

  • This band makes me want to take my old radio grab my 80's c.ds and go lay out by the river with a roaring fire and just listen the night away

    Cheers man,

    Rayven

  • Love me some 80's hard rockin' riff slammin, jam..

Sounds like this could have been used in MJ Foxes film "Secret Of My Success"

Night Ranger's " Secret of my Success" was the title track for such a film.

  • does this video take place in the 21st century??

  • wondeful song

  • man this takes me back

  • Mi super favorita d estos Geniales Dioses!!

  • I just heard this song while driving home and I thought it sounded like Night Ranger. I typed Night Ranger in the search box and I turned out to be right. I guess I've got a pretty good ear!

  • watsons solo is unrivaled, even today...those dudes knew how to play... smooth and tasteful, and man those girlls with the 80s hair! dont get any better than this

  • I can't get enough of this song

  • haha never seen that one before.....it's autograph sound combined with huey lewis visuals....I like it!

  • We were so lucky to have these great bands make these cheesy lousy videos, because now we can all look back and remember how GREAT the music was,but how bad these videos were....haha..The kids these days wont be able to look back,20 years from now,and remember how BAD the current music is with any videos...I guess the Buggles were right..Video DID kill the radio star

  • @trevLV iPod killed the video star.

  • brings back great memorys

  • @wildchild1970 Yup, great memories and broken hearts!!!! I remember Heart, Night ranger, tina Turner, Madonna back in the summer of 1985 when I was 16 years old :=). You?

  • Brings back many great memories of the 80's...thanks for posting.

  • 1985--a pretty good year

  • should check out the Damn Yankees song "coming of age."

Same lead singer. Same type of song.

  • My fav from "Seven wishes" I think :)

  • LOOOVE the video and song

  • Great song.

  • Amazing song.Amazing band!!!

  • sigh back when music was good and MTV actually showed videos instead of bullshit like Jersey Shore. I'm just glad that I got 2 expeirence what was really the last great decade for music. Sum of the early 90's was good but about after '95 music took a serious nose dive. Where's Doc Brown with a Delorian when u need him?

  • @bobafettfan32 im jealous of you -_- haha i wish i could have been born in like the 70s or 80s

  • @bobafettfan32 How about it???? What the hell happened to the good music?

  • @bobafettfan32 ...I definitely agree with everything you said in your comment! :)

  • great live! still after all these years

  • These guys really had it going on then. Love their music, grew up on it.

  • Jack Blades is a hottie

  • By far one of the best from night ranger and a definite favorite. Seen it done in concert several times, sounds as good today as it did 20+ yrs. ago. Keep on rockin' guys and we'll keep on keepin' on.

  • What an AWESOMELY cheesy 80's video!!! LOVE IT!!!!

    NIGHT RANGER ROCKS!!

  • @wolflady044

They are cheesy, but in a good way you know. I'll take the 'cheese' from the 80's over the sleeze from today's music any day!

  • @n8tureboy This video is kind of silly, but I think the song is GREAT! (I had four of Night Ranger's albums.)

  • @shmuli9

Yea....I've got two of their albums myself. Guy's could tear it up you know?

  • @n8tureboy Chessy is a good sign now everybody fucking band artist angry

  • bruce barnes, a buddy of mine used to play this on his drums along time ago... 1983 or 84?? he was 16, now this music over 25yrs later still souns fresh. music like this rules!!!!

  • @lennymo36 i guess it was 1985, not 84.

  • Great song & video. Thanks for posting!

  • I was a baby when this song came out but I love Night Ranger, I can definitely relate to their music and enjoy it.

  • Great, great song from a great, great year. 1985. Night Ranger is one of the best rock bands of the 80's.

  • they should have released 'This Boy Needs to Rock" as a single, that was the best one on this album next to Goodbye.

  • Hit #13 rock,#19 pop in Billboard. God bless!

  • cheesy video....

    good song though.

  • This song has an awesome riff!! Some of the best rock songs are always the simplest. I was 15 when this song hit the radio.

  • Great song, terrible clip

  • Ditto to what JoviAngel60 says: One of their best and a hard video to find. Many thanks for posting this video! Two Thumbs up!

  • one of my favorite band of the 1980's as well :)

  • Amazing!

    xoxo

    The Clarences

  • Jack Blades rocks, one of my fav. bands from the 80's

  • Love this classic night ranger... can you even find their videos on DVD ?? any live stuff.. they kinda died fast...

  • Excellent song!!

  • THIS WILL PLAY AS I KILL MYSELF .......

  • This is one of my favorite Night Ranger songs! It's so good to finally find this video on here!! Thanks so much for posting it!!

  • @JoviAngel60

    muy buena rola

  • @JoviAngel60

One of my favorites, as well.

It played constantly on my first trip to Colorado around Labor Day in '85. I was in a loveless marriage and those words spoke so closely to my feelings - "I can't take anymore. I can't fake anymore. It's such a hard time loving you". So much for that trip salvaging my marriage, but I still treasure this song and play it over and over, if a relationship is going sour.

Sadly, I play it quite often. LOL!!!

  • Amazing Song,Best Video

  • ABOUT TIME I SAW THIS AGAIN ON HERE

  • unreal...

  • Awesome song, why did the keybboard player always wear sunglasses? Was he cross-eyed?

  • such an awesome song love it love it love it

  • I can relate to this song a lot right now. It describes my situation so damn perfectly... it's classic bands like Night Ranger, Def Leppard, and Styx that has helped me through a lot in life. I was born in the 90s but was raised listening to this music, and metal.

  • The video doesn't have alot to do with the song. They were trying to continue the same idea they had in previous videous. The lyrics seemed to trace my life when I first heard the song in 1985. You should thank whoever introduced you to this music.

  • i dont really get the music video, BUT I LOVE THE SONG!!!!!!

  • I loved the whole WWII vibe they had in some of their videos. We were cruising up and down 6th Street back in the 80s with Night Ranger on the radio or tape deck. It was pretty fun. I'm just a kid from Vincennes, Indiana, thinking about those hoy summer night when cruising and rocking were the only things that mattered.

  • in brookville indiana we recently had night ranger in concert... it was so awesome for a small town to have such a big band!

  • long live the 80s!!

  • That why I started playing the drums and music production for my company

  • Paula B.

Where are you now adays? I think of you evertime I hear this song!

  • seven wishes was such a great album.one of the few eighties groups i still truly miss.

  • OH Yea. great song from the great 80's!!!!!!!!

  • Great song! Why have I never heard that one before?

It reminds me alot about Gary Moore, could have been one of his old songs. Love it!

Though the video was kinda' cheesy.

  • This song holds up well today, but the clothes on stage are better off left in the 80's I think. Jack's blue trenchcoat is one thing, but what was Brad Gillis thinking with the bumble bee spandex outfit?

  • During that time period, many of the bands had the ridiculous spandex pants...lol. Many great bands from that time period had the spandex and long hair. Long live the 80's. I am so glad to have been a part of it. Some of the music nowadays is really bad, although much of it is still good, depending on the genre you are listening to.

  • Gillis & Watson, what a great shred combo!

  • i met jack in vegas 3 years ago, very nice guy

  • @kingofthetoilets

make that 6 yrs ago now.... lol

  • Can someone tell me here i can buy a blue trenchcoat the same one jack is wearing very much appreciated.

  • I got to see 7 wishes tour at the civic area in Pittsburgh, PA. Back in 1984 it was cool. Starship open.

  • Was that '84? I was thinking it was '85. I saw that tour in Rochester, NY. Yeah, great show. Remember Jack coming through the genie lamp to get onto the stage? Very cool. Good stuff back then...

  • LOL that video was so goofy! I love Night Ranger and this song! :-)

  • Love the song and NR...

But is it just me or does Will Ferrel resemble Mr. Gillis back in the day?

  • gosh, I always loved Night Ranger, but this video is really cheesy, lol. First time seeing it. What does the space ship and those girls have to do with the lyrics of this song? LOL oh well.. those were the 80's.

  • Night Ranger a Glam band????? I don't think so!!!

  • No, just a small downgrade from Hall and Oates from the same early 80's time period.

  • what??? you cant compare H&O with NR, different kind of music, H&O was soulpop and NR was hard rock

  • Night Ranger always Looked Good, always sounded good. They had a loyal following and still do. Greatest decade ever (80s) and the new generation is figuring out that the crap fed to them during the 90s and beyond just doesn't make it. Your children will be listening to 80s and mesmerized by how good everyone looked when not wearing flannel shirts and pants down around their butt cracks.

  • those of us who were there in the 1980s thought it was crap as far as music went and looked to the 1960s for good music, when it mattered. But i guess if you are so into how the musicians looked then you don't really listen with your ears. If you did then maybe you would change your opinion.

  • Who says you can't like music from all decades?

  • I was there in the 80s and I thought Night Ranger was very underrated. There is good music fromt eh 60s but there is a lot better from the 80s

  • You know, Night Ranger really had some pretty decent songs and obviously knew how to put music together for broad appeal.

My question is...do you think had they not succomb to putting image ahead of their music (i.e had they not looked like a glam band) that they might have been better received? They looked absolutly ridiculous and lost a lot of credibility in my opinion.

  • They were damn good.

  • My favorite Night Ranger song!

  • My favorite band back in the day, great tunes, but without a doubt, this was the dumbest video they ever made...

  • Best band of the Eighties.... all these guys BURN!!

  • Absolutely awsome.......why did they disband ?

  • Just do everyone a favor and go away!

  • night ranger was a great band.

  • Lol....That is defaintly a model rocket...lmao

  • Was that a model airplane???

  • Great song, reminds me of high school...so melancholy baby!!

  • one band i av never saw!gutted!! took me through some shit in the 80s!!classic!!

  • Wow! I haven't heard this song in 20 years! NR was an awesome band

  • is a awsome band :]

  • my fisrt concert was night ranger in 1981 in merrillville,in.

  • Gotta love the self-emoliument that only this band is capable of. Trapped within the ennui of being themselves, yet rescued therefrom by hot spacebabes who take them to their own concert, where they can enjoy their own performance. How REJUVENATING to the EGO!!!

  • the plane scene is SO FUCKING AWESOME

  • Ke buena rola!!! Buen rato de no oirla... La mueve..

Xcellent Song from Night Ranger!(After The best ;When You Close Your Eyes)

  • LOVVVVVVVVVVEEEEEEEEEEE JACK

  • What's Fitz the keyboardist doing these days? Must have felt like the 5th Beatle during those 20 years.

  • two excellent guitar players...rite up there w/ smith/Murray...or Tipton/Downing....great harmonies and very melodic...perfect for their musical genre.

  • Roger that! Brad Gillis' "Gilrock Ranch" and Jeff Watson's "Lone Wolf" are awesome solo guitar albums.

  • Great song!!! wish 80's come back.

  • This video was so cheesy...and here I am over 20 years later watching and remembering when I bought the album. Had the biggest crush on Jack! Takes me back

  • night rangers' 7 wishes album was the best!!!

  • My vote is for "Midnight Madness"

  • The Flying V guitar is so funny. I love how all guitar players felt the need to stick their arm around back when they played. The 80's ruled.

  • Excellent song. I really do miss the music of the 80's.

  • It has such a great feel. They are not as underated as they use to be. Love that guitar. Good days gone bye.

  • Such a feel good song!!

  • Ahhh, remember when we didn't have to pay rent?

  • I met Gillis in 1989,talked guitar, really nice down to earth person.Still a fan of the whammy bar king!

  • Reminds me of High School and happy pre-adult times.

  • One thing that I always noticed about Night Ranger was that they always genuinely looked like they were having a good time. Great chemistry.

  • God!! What ever happened to the real MTV format when you could really appreciate real rockers and get feel for real music???? NR was awesome!!

  • i've been looking for this one! MTV and VH1 websites post the other videos but not this one...i always loved this song - i remember the cheezy effects with the spaceship - but what does a camel have to do with it????

  • just great song
