I saw Night Ranger in concert in the 80's at close "range"-get it? Awesome concert. We saw the Seven Wishes tour and they rocked the house!jeff Watson doing his 8 finger, finger hammers on Rock in America blew me away! This band rocks, even with a new guitar player and keyboard player besides Jeff Watson and Fitz.
This song brings back so many memories from the time I had just graduated from high school. I am happy to see that there are so many good comments here from younger people who enjoy this great classic music of Night Ranger. :)
back when guitar players really learned to play their instruments and cared about tone... the lead guitar is artful, tasteful and well thought out... the lead line that starts at 2:17 hasnt been bettered by anyone since then... jeff watson, teach me oh mighty one
ya and getting stoned when you could , and not worry about a drug test ruinning your life , MTV sucks now they should take it off the air , my oldest son is 28 and he listens to this music my youngest is 11 , he listens to this also , rock hasnt died its just taken a hiadus , itll be back , just WHEN ? , but i feel it will be less then the 70s and 80s rock , i told my wife when aero smith put their last good album out that rock as we know it is dead , gone ! just repeats now !
This so brings me back to lying on the couch during a lazy summer, circa 1984/85 or so right? Used to watch these silly vids night and day, good times not forgotten MTV used to be so cool when they played fun videos like this.
Man, Night Ranger was one of those quiet bands who were huge in the mid-80's. They were everywhere, but not much was said about them like other bands. I remember my friends big brother seen them in 85' in Great Falls MT, he was a reserved guy, but to this day said it was the best concert he'd ever been too.
I just heard this song while driving home and I thought it sounded like Night Ranger. I typed Night Ranger in the search box and I turned out to be right. I guess I've got a pretty good ear!
watsons solo is unrivaled, even today...those dudes knew how to play... smooth and tasteful, and man those girlls with the 80s hair! dont get any better than this
We were so lucky to have these great bands make these cheesy lousy videos, because now we can all look back and remember how GREAT the music was,but how bad these videos were....haha..The kids these days wont be able to look back,20 years from now,and remember how BAD the current music is with any videos...I guess the Buggles were right..Video DID kill the radio star
@wildchild1970 Yup, great memories and broken hearts!!!! I remember Heart, Night ranger, tina Turner, Madonna back in the summer of 1985 when I was 16 years old :=). You?
sigh back when music was good and MTV actually showed videos instead of bullshit like Jersey Shore. I'm just glad that I got 2 expeirence what was really the last great decade for music. Sum of the early 90's was good but about after '95 music took a serious nose dive. Where's Doc Brown with a Delorian when u need him?
By far one of the best from night ranger and a definite favorite. Seen it done in concert several times, sounds as good today as it did 20+ yrs. ago. Keep on rockin' guys and we'll keep on keepin' on.
bruce barnes, a buddy of mine used to play this on his drums along time ago... 1983 or 84?? he was 16, now this music over 25yrs later still souns fresh. music like this rules!!!!
It played constantly on my first trip to Colorado around Labor Day in '85. I was in a loveless marriage and those words spoke so closely to my feelings - "I can't take anymore. I can't fake anymore. It's such a hard time loving you". So much for that trip salvaging my marriage, but I still treasure this song and play it over and over, if a relationship is going sour.
I can relate to this song a lot right now. It describes my situation so damn perfectly... it's classic bands like Night Ranger, Def Leppard, and Styx that has helped me through a lot in life. I was born in the 90s but was raised listening to this music, and metal.
The video doesn't have alot to do with the song. They were trying to continue the same idea they had in previous videous. The lyrics seemed to trace my life when I first heard the song in 1985. You should thank whoever introduced you to this music.
I loved the whole WWII vibe they had in some of their videos. We were cruising up and down 6th Street back in the 80s with Night Ranger on the radio or tape deck. It was pretty fun. I'm just a kid from Vincennes, Indiana, thinking about those hoy summer night when cruising and rocking were the only things that mattered.
This song holds up well today, but the clothes on stage are better off left in the 80's I think. Jack's blue trenchcoat is one thing, but what was Brad Gillis thinking with the bumble bee spandex outfit?
During that time period, many of the bands had the ridiculous spandex pants...lol. Many great bands from that time period had the spandex and long hair. Long live the 80's. I am so glad to have been a part of it. Some of the music nowadays is really bad, although much of it is still good, depending on the genre you are listening to.
Was that '84? I was thinking it was '85. I saw that tour in Rochester, NY. Yeah, great show. Remember Jack coming through the genie lamp to get onto the stage? Very cool. Good stuff back then...
gosh, I always loved Night Ranger, but this video is really cheesy, lol. First time seeing it. What does the space ship and those girls have to do with the lyrics of this song? LOL oh well.. those were the 80's.
Night Ranger always Looked Good, always sounded good. They had a loyal following and still do. Greatest decade ever (80s) and the new generation is figuring out that the crap fed to them during the 90s and beyond just doesn't make it. Your children will be listening to 80s and mesmerized by how good everyone looked when not wearing flannel shirts and pants down around their butt cracks.
those of us who were there in the 1980s thought it was crap as far as music went and looked to the 1960s for good music, when it mattered. But i guess if you are so into how the musicians looked then you don't really listen with your ears. If you did then maybe you would change your opinion.

i've been looking for this one! MTV and VH1 websites post the other videos but not this one...i always loved this song - i remember the cheezy effects with the spaceship - but what does a camel have to do with it????
I saw Night Ranger in concert in the 80's at close "range"-get it? It played constantly on my first trip to Colorado around Labor Day in '85. I was in a loveless marriage and those words spoke so closely to my feelings - "I can't take anymore. I can't fake anymore. The Flying V guitar is so funny. I love how all guitar players felt the need to stick their arm around back when they played. The 80's ruled.

Excellent song. I really do miss the music of the 80's.

It has such a great feel. They are not as underated as they use to be. Love that guitar. Good days gone bye.

Reminds me of High School and happy pre-adult times.

One thing that I always noticed about Night Ranger was that they always genuinely looked like they were having a good time. Great chemistry.
