it does not mess up the clutch, not at all. the only stress applied to the clutch is in the second that it engages. But because the engine is not so high revved in the moment of engaging , there's little stress applied. Only the tires take the beating. Imagine a manual M6 , rev it up to 8250 rpm and then release the clutch , that's stress.

havent used it in my m5 yet cause iv only driven it once.
but when i had my G i launched it all the time

yeahhhh all the time ;);) you can use the launch control system for 10 maybe 15 times, after that you have to change your gearbox !

Offcourse it has (too) much wheelspin at launch, the driver had switched off his traction control (DSC)
