  • Only just discovered this song, and it's already one of my favourites, amazingly beautiful.. I love your version too, great playing and your voice in this low key suits this really well

Is there any chance you could tell me what chords you're using here? I'm not very good at playing from ear yet, and I'd love to play this

  • I think your version is beautiful Neil - it's a folk song, which means that there are lots of different versions and it doesn't always need to be sung on a stage. My Auntie Mary used to sing this song at parties and her version was different too. (mainly because she was usually drunk!) The hairs were standing up on the back of my neck (with pleasure) when I listened to it.

  • @bananaheadization Wow, thanks so much! Glad you liked it. Hope Auntie Mary would approve.

    Thanks again for watching!

    - Neil

  • Yes you are right the coorries are the masters but to be failr yours was wasnae bad at all. timing was good and the singing was musical. If you would only sing it up a key. Well done

  • @jamesthepiper Thanks, man. I agree with you. But I love this song and the Corries too much to try to copy and I feel if I tried to hit their notes it would be a failure. I'm content just putting my little tune up here and try to direct any viewers to the proper version made by people who know it best. Thanks so much for watching! Cheers,

    - Neil
