  • naaaaw, his german really is great

  • ...and in ENGILISH that says??????

  • spricht John Cleese echter Deutsch?

  • Settle down you clowns. John Cleese is royalty. Add up how many times and how many people this man has given an enjoyable moment. And he was the luckiest Fish in the wold with Wanda. Oh Wanda.

  • I give worldwide audiences joy, too, on my radio shows and tv.. so? Royalty? Where DO you people get these ideas. Craziness.

  • you compare yourself with john cleese? oh where DID you get this crazy idea. he is more than royalty he is a GOD of comedy but i think he would be offended if called something like that.don't be jealous

  • yea, you suck you homophobic bastard

take your mindless drivel somewhere else

    John Cleese is the Man

Who cares if Graham Chapman was gay He was still a a better person then you'll ever be

  • Shut up you prick why be so rude to who is a iconic here to the British comedy!

You're probably just jelous that he still looks better then you :P

    John cleese You legend!!!

  • @Bestmanme08

Is everyone in the world inbred and retarded? Or are you just projecting your own self-loathing onto other people?

  • I actually got to throw the football at him off camera! Tom

  • haha .. did u get him to sign it?

  • lol ich schau das video nur, weil es in der tv spielfilm war^^

  • @BestManMe09 The reason Benny Hill was so popular in the US is because it was a lower form of wit that was easily understood by the average American.

You need to be a bit more intelligent to understand he genius that was Monty Python. It's like comparing the Three Stooges to the Marx Brothers. The Marx Brother's comedy was far more cerebral.

  • As far as I know he actually speaks German fluently. He has quite a heavy accent, but you can understand him perfectly.

  • its german, but he speaks it really shitty and makes it funny like everything he does :)

  • i think he speaks it very good and not "shitty"... do you know german?

you should watch the awful german the "germans" in that scrubs episode speak.. sarah chalke is much better..

    I'll do the funny walk!!

  • yay to scrubs, although i must gripe that the new ones are not as good :(

and yes I do speak german, and i didnt mean it like he doesnt know how to talk it, just the way he says it makes it funnier :)

  • silly walk.... X)

  • no, i meant the funny walk, it's from fawlty towers ;)

  • *facepalm*

  • this isnt funny ... wait maybe thats because I can only say ich heise in german... I cant even say that right can i ? x)

  • John Cleese speaks german?

    Huh, never knew.

  • you should have seen him on "Fawlty Towers"´episode "The Germans"! omg that was SO funny!

  • Aaaaaah, Eric Cantona, c'est effectivement le nouvel Albert Camus.

  • Wow, I actually understood that, and my German is pretty rusty. I haven't spent any time there since '99-2000

  • do u have to speak german to get this?

    is it real german?

    and WTF

  • Real german, yes sir.

  • Lol, yes it´s real german...

  • we germans have humor, of course..

    we can laugh about ourselves..

  • didn't think they would hire John Cleese after 'The Germans'episode

  • They hired him BECAUSE OF the Germans episode!

  • Yes i know, it's only hard to imagine. An Catholic tv station in Holland didn't want to broadcast that episode in those years. They did a couple of years later

  • lol. what the hell dyou think of us? ^^ "The Germans" is one of my favourite episodes. Ive been to Torquay once and Ive seen the Gleneagles Hotel, where John Cleese met the man he formed Basil after.

  • When I was a kid we spend a lot of time in Germany, allways enjoyed it. Must have been an experience to meet the man who started it all.

  • it sounds like he learned it..

but it seems that he speaks a little bit of german..

i think i heard him speak german somewhere else..

and there he defenetly dont learned it

  • If he cut his mustache a bit on the sides he would look like Hitler LOL

  • I heard Eric Cantona somewhere in the start =D

  • Great Clip.

    Just nonsense.

Clees is one of my beloved acters!!

  • FOOTBALL!!!!

  • He dont speak german, he read this. I hear it, i am a german.

At the episode from the flying circus they made in german, all pythons learn the words to memorise.

  • I don't think so. I'm learning german and when I think back to the time I didn't speak german at all (or even after the first semester), I just cannot imagine being able to memorize so many lines as in the show or reading this commercial without understanding what he's saying. He may had read it off of a screen, but he speaks some german alright, or he wouldn't even be able to do that much.

Translation above.

  • He does. He is the only Python who can speak German. You can recognize it looking the German Flying Circus episodes.

  • They did a few episodes of Flying Circus in German as I understand..

  • Well i don't understand a word.. or well.. a few.. but i dont get the point...

  • He speaks a lot of lanugages.

  • I speak a lot of lanugages, for example albiniaan, norgianwe and of course engishl.
