You have to be a certain level to get more xp example the champain lady gave 2000 xp when I was level 46 when I was 50+ it gave over 2000+ hope that helped you fastest way to level up is to dupe champain a give it to that girl

Buy nails at the warehouse (for $130), they are cheap and sell them to the dude in the church. He will give you $140 each time. Level up with more than 4000 xp each time you sell three.

i tried this one.... you get $140 for every 3 nails and 1 nail on it's own costs $130. you nearly loose a third of what you paid. When i did it, it only gave 500xp each time not 4000xp

@paulspydar You have to bring 5 bottle of alcohol for each molotov and you can find svetlana in the resort area. She is in the top of the right (not good at english) house. Or you can do a quest call Family Matters from Max in the lifeguard tower. It will lead you to svetlana.

Seriously I used as Logun and I use this way up to 50lv. Then I try it in my new Sam B. As I know leveling to 50lv needs 3,000,000 exp so it needs 1500 oleanders. For these oleanders you will need 1,725,000 dollar to buy them all. I spent an hour to copy 1lv Homerun Baseball bat in Sam B. Then I started to buy oleanders for a few hour.

im lv 50 and the best weapon has to be the zeds demise upgraded and customized to have short-circut or deathstalker, sells for around 13,000-14000 and does 3000 to 20000 damage its tank :D

Guys do not do these glitches dead island needs a better patch ??duplicating items?? ( not weapons) it will make ur game glitch but even without items. my Game Lobby wasn't working and nothing saved after I turned of my PS3 Game Lobby must work for me . Even one time it said " spoil story" blah blah blah my friend was on chap 14 it took me to chap 9. Good game + bad glitch = WTF

there is a bunch of places that you can do this, one of then is a bunker (dont remember witch) that have 3 weapon crates, the police station, there is a safe with a diamond, that you can go back to the sewers and enter again over and over.... etc

lolol dudes theres a much easier way... use a software called cheat engine enter the amount of money/exp/items you have... either drop or sell so called item or change your money value... do this until it filters down and enter desired number.... sounds complicated but takes a process of like 1 minute

EASIER WAY TO MAKE MONEY.

Buy the most expensive Weapon,

Upgrade it to make it more expensive.

Equip that expensive weapon.

Throw and drop it at the same time, this will duplicate it. (Glitch)

Throw and then press Backspace to drop.

once you duplicate, then keep duplicating until you have full inventory.

Sell all weapons to makes heaps of money.

REPEAT UNTIL YOU HAVE UNLIMITED MONEY!

Instead of doing all of that..just duplicate your most expensive weapon alot and then sell them to the nearest dealer for the cash..then find the dealer with the oleander..then fast travel to the cave lol.

One other hint, If you take the Alcohol from the lab just before you quick travel out of there, make sure you're NOT still holding the bottle of Alcohol when you warp back to the lab..

If you do you, will soon be swigging from the bottle instead of clobbering the post-warp zombie...

thanks man. finally found a trader selling oleander in the lab. just jumped from level 33 to 41 in around an hour and a half. for anyone who cant find a trader selling oleander just go back and forth between the lighthouse and the lab and eventually one will have it.

@robertsweetman1 Yeah, the guy at the lab seems to sell it pretty regularly but (SPOILER ALERT)...after some mission (can't remember which) the lab is destroyed and overrun by zombies so you can't trade with that guy anymore, buy you can still get the cash out of the safes. But doing the throw-weapon-grab-it duplication trick that you and others have posted seems to be a faster way of getting cash.

good video. still cant find a dealer that sells oleander but im going to keep at it. and there is a much faster way to get cash with the weapon duplication glitch. just throw your weapon and the second you throw it go in to your inventory and drop the weapon that you threw and you will have two the dropped one and the thrown one. do this as many times as you like. i did it for 30mins and got just over $300,000. the only thing that pisses me off is when you die you loose between $25 and $30,000

EASY FUCKIN WAY TO LVL UP:

1: Get the talent where you get xp for breaking bones

2: Get a baseball bat(or something bonebreaking)

3: Get brassknuckles

4: Find a thug zombie

5: Break both of his arms

6: Equip Brassknuckles and hit his arms over and over again.

(i was lvl 38 when i started against 1 zombie, when i finaly killed it i was 39½)

So, I hit the dreaded PC "Fast-Travel icon disappearing" bug and made the mistake of exiting the game, which saved it...and now I can't load my level 44 character. Insert angry face here. The last fix allows you to start a new game and, if you pick the same character you were using, you can select a chapter (allowing you to pick up where you left off and you retain all your skill points) but I lost all my cool weapons and my 3000 or so Oleader units. Probably should have just hard reset comp.

There's an EXE roaming the Steam Forums that could help you get into the game up to chapter 14 which should enable you to drop shit from your inventory to lessen the uncompressed savegame size below 10260.
