Great Stuff Lucy! However, if you do Kung Fu make sure to learn at least some self defence, (say maybe a couple of years of Sanshou which is an excellent style), assuming you aren't trained in self defence that is!
@Andhaira Hi there thanks for the comment, you are right self-defence is the most important part of training in martial arts & thats what I spend most of my time training in. I love to train in all different styles & love learning new things.
Alternatively you could just practice real kung-fu styles, like Hung gar for example. Then you get the fitness and in addition also the ability to fight, better health and a stronger mind ;)
@knockoutmoves Definately go try it out. Depending on the master and the style it can be very intense. I couldn't walk for 2 days after my first training with Grandmaster chiu chi ling, haha :) But the most important thing (in my opinion) is to have fun exercising. So i hope you will have fun most of all. Whatever you do.
@Samurailord Hi there I've trained in a few Chinese styles including Hung Gar, Southern Praying Mantis, Wing Chun, Eagle, Tai Chi & other stuff. A couple of my best friends are Kung Fu teachers & both are very good. I love doing kung fu as an addition to my MMA training or just for fun. I am not a student of kung fu but do find it a great workout & there is always something new to learn. L
Except in Kung Fu you shouldn't be tensing your muscles and it's not about individual limb movement, all the power comes from the ground up and gains the most power from correct upper body rotation.
relax your shoulders. rotate your back and front feet a bit in...you won't feel so unsteady in bow stance and you could hold it longer if your wanted. around 1:10 your knee looks very uncomfortable.
This looks like a nice little form that would be great to use as an intro to Qugong for newer students. You are correct that it can be quite strenuous. Thank you for sharing.
hey you are good, i would really appreciate if you can post more sequences like this which will aid us to practise so much in a continuous flow.... it would be really helpful
@destrask thanks for the compliment or was it meant to be an insult. My only drugs are alcohol, cigarettes & tea. I sorry I've never used anything but lots of hard work & eating properly.
Looks like a very rigorous "Chi Kung" sequence or form. It is intense exercise but of course with martial applications. I am looking forward to trying it !
excellent instruction and performance, xie xie =]

If you really wanna do Kung-Fu stick , then learn the forms from a real Master and not from a youtube video.

You are not going to look like this lady by just this though, she is obviously a "chemically enhanced" athlete.
