東海道区間だと、駅の前後の直線区間が短いので(下りののぞみ＠­新横浜発車時を除く)、加速感を味わえませんよね(いつも下りの­新幹線に乗る時は、疲れて寝てしまうので・・・)

This station, Shin-Osaka is the border of Two different JR Railway company - West Japan(Male) and Central Japan(Female).

Most of Nozomi are operated between the area of JR West and the One of Central. So the train driver and train conductor must be changed here, Shin-Osaka Sta.

Beautiful train. Being a train lover from india, I feel we can never have such trains in the near future. Japan has the best designed and most variety of trains in the world. Though TGV etc are there, the variety of trains in japan is unbeatable.

It seems that high-speed railway will be constructed in India in the future (5 years later?). I think one of TGV, ICE and Shinkansen are introduced. I recommend Shinkansen system. The body of Shinkansen is biggest width (Shinkansen=3.38m, TGV=2.9m, ICE3=2.95m), so a lot of people can take it. Energy efficiencies is also good.

Thanks for your response. Yes, I am awaiting the day when we can have beautiful trains in India like you have. Indian Railways is quite efficient given the size and the antiquity, plus lack of funds, but very slow and outdated by world standards. Now, there is a turnaround. They want to look at HSRs and passenger comfort etc. Also, the increasing fuel prices make it even more necessary to have such efficient trains.

Japan is too advanced, but we see the fantastic development in China and take heart that we can also achieve something like that, soon?! Hopefully, shortsighted leadership, corruption and slowing economy will not kill the initiatives. Bank of Japan is very interested in funding major railway developments in India.

Hi! Thanks for your comment! N700 is presently the most high-performance Shinkansen train. Power consumption was reduced no less than 19% as compared with 700 series. Silence, passenger comfort, accelerating performance, width in the car..., N700 exceeds 500series and 700series in everything. The fault is that the window of a seat side is small. Front face is the complicated shapes called "aero double wing". This was developed by the simulation used for development of an airplane.

Japan learned railway from Britain. 0 series Shinkansen train is exhibited at UK's National Railway Museum in 2001. So Japanese people pay respect to Britain that is birthplace of railway. Have a nice weekend! ^^
