The degradation of the forests comes from urban development and companies like McDonalds who detroy forests for their cattle. For instance, McDonalds, cuts down 55 acres of forest for every 1 pound of meat sold, and with 1 BILLION burgers sold, you do the math.
Use as much paper as you want; it's bio degradable, and comes from a renewable resource. Stop buying into the "green" movement so much - a lot of it is over-hyped, uninformed bullshit.
Did you know that: almost all paper is made from the trees that were planted for the very purpose of making paper products. They are a renewable resource; they have thousands, maybe millions of acres dedicated to cutting trees down, making paper, planting new trees, and keeping the cycle going.
I assure you that more then half of the countries on Earth are not making paper from the trees that were planted for the very purpose of making paper products. And regarding the paper, as you said, save God paper is bio degradable.
@Anelly85 "Countries" do not produce paper... companies do; the Largest of which is International Paper. The huge companies that produce most of the world's paper are very sustainable and ecologically friendly.
Think about it: what good would a paper company get from having to find, and harvest new plots of land throughout the world just to produce paper? It is in their best interest to maintain a renewable source of trees, both for ease of production and economically it is more sound.
hey guys! if you like this why not chck out "environmental facts (earth day)" its way better + it isnt boring.

I think we will see very soon the grubbing impact. We are so insensitive to these facts that we deserve this fate.
