Chuck made pretty good tunes back in the day, but damn if he isn't an ego maniacal drama queen. He actually ditched his band when they were about to go tour Europe with Pestilence so he could jam with the Cynic guys (resulting in "Human"). Stop mourning for this guy like he's Jesus Christ, the whole point of this music was that death is a part of life and we must accept it. Just read any early Death lyrics.

Chuck stopped the gig because he was previously misinformed by a chain of false gossip and just found out the record company wasn't paying for the tour and was angry that they had to pay for it all themselves when they didn't have enough money. Typical record business bullshit. I'm not sure if Pestilence knew what Death's financial situation was though, but both bands are among my top favorites.
