  • do you use your pinky?

  • @HaZexHD No, it just looks like it in the video. I use p,i,p,i,p,m,i,a,m,a,i,m,p,i,p,i

  • Νice but the scratching sounds too loud

  • Nice playing, however no emotion ... =/

  • @fcalps Right, because it's really easy to emote in an arpeggiated right hand study at this speed.

  • Wow, I love your recording ;)

  • Is there a chance to get the sheets or do you have some kind of tutorial vid?

  • I listened to about 12 versions of this study on youtube now, and this is the best interpretation; even you made a little mistake, your frets are too loud and the overall sound is worse. But you got the right tempo, the flow, this piece needs, congrats! I play this piece by myself and it was one of the hardest I ever had to learn.

  • fantastic

  • hi phil. nice play. how long does it take to get the pattern on "auto pilot" with the speed like yours? thanks

  • @wooki97 Hi, I've been playing this piece since I was a kid so I guess I just built up speed over time. Keep practising, get used to the difficult RH pattern and it will get there.

    Cheers,

    Phil

  • Very, very beautiful! Congratulations!

  • gonna have to say this is the best version of this i have found on youtube

  • @tlkosdemba Thank-you very much!

  • hi phil. excellent play. love the sound of your giutar. what type of guitar are you using.

  • you're just incredible!!!! love your rendition :)

  • Thank-you for your comments!

  • very good5+++

  • Thank-you!

  • I play it - p,i,p,i,p,m,i,a,m,a,i,m,p,i,p,i

  • Is that p, i, p, m, i, a, m and then little finger, a, little finger, m, a, i, m, p, i? I've been practicing classical guitar for just a few months, and my teacher told me to do p, i, p, i, p, m, p, m, i, m, i, m, p, i, p, i, but I thought adding the annular would be more practical, but here it looks like you've gone and incorporated the little finger! That leaves your hand anchored more, I suppose. How long did it take to develop the little finger?

  • Hi, I don't use the little finger - it probably just looks like it in the video. I use p,i,p,i,p,m,i,a,m,a,i,m,p,i,p,i

  • Você é muito foda, parabéns!

  • Great performance! One of the better ones on YouTube. Very good right hand.

  • The great compositor and Professor Norbert Leclercq shows that the guitarist has to lift up his left hand while playing the 7 dim chords from the 12 to the 1 fret. To eliminate the noises of the left hand.

  • Cool! Did you just eliminate the 7th position e-minor before the run altogether? Or did you do something in 12th? I tried stopping the vid several times but still can't tell.

  • Hi - I don't go into the 7th position for the start of the run - I go up to the 12th position for the G (3th string) so that I'm in position for the top E

  • Great!..especially your right hand!!

  • 杂音太多

  • tecnica magistrale!

    Bravo:)

  • Thank-you.

  • excellent!!! very good!!! t

  • lovely....

"Any problem you can't solve with a good guitar, is either, unsolvable or isn't a problem."

  • Bravo good job.Bravo...

  • better than segovia

  • Very good playing you really have it nailed.I've only been listening to to this piece for two days but minus the strings and the recording setup this seems to me to be as good as Segovia version.Best of luck.5*.

  • that was great 5*****, I myslef must play this peice for a U.I.L. highschool competition in texas. Are there any pointers you could give me(pretaining to the strange picking)?

  • Hi, thanks for your comments!

My advice for this piece is to practise slow. Focus on keeping your R.H. relaxed - tension can be a big problem with this study. The hardest part of the arpeggio pattern is at the top - you have to play on the 1st and 2nd strings with the weak fingers on the right hand (a and m) so some seperate exercises to strengthen them can help.

    Good luck with the competition!

  • Yo! PTE: Great job on this piece, 4/5 for me . I think the only thing hurting you is the acoustic setup of the room your in. Keep up the hard work and please keep posting.

  • A good and clean playing. 5*****

  • Ooh! This on goes to my favorites! Busy with the piece myself.. that piece at 1'19 just isn't funny anymore! Just begin slow I guess?

  • Yes, slow practice is very important with this piece.

  • D'addario Pro arte Classical Guitar Strings

j51 Recording strings, very long lasting.

They should diminish the scratching on the three bass strings. Very good playing! Thanks for posting!

  • Yes, I recorded this using Rotosound strings. Cheap but terrible - never again!

    Thanks for the comments.

  • Bravo!

  • very very nice.

  • Very good!

  • Great Phil.

    I know your Mum !!

  • Excelente, trata de hacer menos ruido en los cambios y será 100%. Felicitaciones

  • very very nice playing!! congratulations. but try to lift your fingers when changing the chords, that'll clean up the sound a lot

  • Hi Phil that was very good :) You should change your Id to Phil the classical guitarist :)

  • really very nicely played. should release pressure on changes from bars 13 - 25 (run down) though to avoid nasty string scrape.

  • phew..
