nice little blue gill but get a open face spinning reel and rod much easier to use and less mess or even try baitcasters

@zacharyheaton we used a Team Diawa bait cast reel to catch the catfish. The spinning rod was sitting off to the side. The Diawa silvercast spin cast reel was used to catch the blue gill and never had a problem with it.
