I've watched the entire movie twice, and I still haven't figured out who the actual killer was. Sure, the witches are running the show, and they may have even used their spells to compel someone to do the dirty work, but who was the actual knife-wielder? Can anyone tell me?
One of the best looking, most gorgeously photographed films of its kind. Wonderful atmospherics. Argento is one here, for sure, but somehow, I just can't seem to get into it as much as I would like to.
I remembered watching this trailer when I was a child, and was highly frighten. I could not sleep for days after that. Whenever I saw that trailer, I would hide under the sheets.
This terrified me as a little kid, too. I think I screamed my head off the first time I saw it. The only other trailer that was close to being as scary to me was the one for "Magic" (I hate dolls/dummies!).
I heard they want to remake this with Natalie Portman... Hollywood needs to stop remaking classics. Halloween was already ruined... thank you rob zombie!!
Suspiria is with out a doubt one of the best looking and sounding films I have ever seen. I have recently heard about a remake. How dare they! Hollywood you have no shame. This is a 'film' not a crap CGI cartoon. Who's gunna do the sound track a bloody rap 'artist'
sod off hollywood your crap. People watch the orignial on a big telly with the sound turned up to 11, never ever watch a remake of Suspiria.
i don't think everything needs to be remade. especially since a lot of things you could get away with in the 70's, you could never do now. special effects will be better no doubt, but lets have some creativity in hollywood
i know what your saying, so dont flame me please for giving a counter point. it is a crime to remake all these classics they have been fucking with. and suspiria is a huge no-no. but its always how its done and who dose it. remakes arent always crap (most yes) id rather watch the good one, but id give the remake a chance
I loved this movie. The ambiance of this movie is total drea and that makes a great horror film. Now they're making a remake of the film. I hear that Natalie Portman is rumored to play the lead. When I heard about it I worried at first but having Portman in the cast sort of lessened my fears. Perhaps if they do sign her up this will actually legitimize the horror genre?
I have this movie giallo films are the best in my book any day

I liked all the pretty colors in the backround of this scary-ass movie.

Is it just me, or does the word, "Suspiria" look like bagel dough that's been formed to make the letters and then baked?
FiendsInRedSatin1 9 months ago
@FiendsInRedSatin1 It probably was. Filmmakers were resourceful and creative in those days :-)
