  • If you can't handle a male dog as he is, A MALE, then don't bother buying the dog in the first place. I'm tired of hearing about the health benefits and the risks of overpopulation when really they are just an attempt to cover the fact that people neuter for their own convenience. They can't stand the dominant male attitude that the cojones give a dog so they cut them off... If the only way you can keep your dog from fucking the neighbourhood tramp is by removing its nuts, then don't buy a dog.

  • LMAO!!!!!

  • dogs look so much cuter with little balls though lol

  • Poor thing. I would never do this to my dog.

  • PS I cannot believe you took a picture of his sack for posterity...that is too cool!

  • Good for you in keeping his "party hat" on....it is so worth it to have his stitches heal well! (sorry I am a vet and can't help myself lol)!

  • yes neuter your dog, anadcz

  • i wish i could have a pet, but my apartment does not allow it :(

  • oh poor little dog lol so gorgeous!

  • :( poor doggy

  • im thinking of neutering my dog because he marks his scent everywhere.

  • If you can join the AVMA and get into the database of scientific studies there are countless studies that confirm the negative health consequences of neutering a male dog. The various veterinarian organizations are promoting it for social political reasons. It affects health and longevity. But most people dont care about their own health, why care about a dog's? And lorreta, i am not projecting -- just making a factual statement that too often gets covered up.

  • But leaving him intact still means that he can add to the pet overpopulation -- the average household isn't responsible enough to truly be able to handle an intact dog.

While it does have some adverse effects, SOMETIMES... neutering does have some health benefits (no testicular cancer for one and lower chances of some other diseases). There are pros and cons to both neutering/not neutering.

It also takes care of many behavioral problems that intact males can have.

  • contray to what they tell you there are no health benefits to neutering an male dog. lots of health dangers. big cover up. it also does not decrease the pets killed at shelters. because people still get pets and then get rid of them. we need to educate people

  • Well, tell you what. I don't get the little cheesy dollop on the end of his cock anymore, and that's enough of a benefit for me. Don't go projecting your own attachment to your nuts onto my buddy here. He's forgotten about the whole thing.

  • where did you get your information? having had personal experience with hundreds of neutered dogs, I think you're way off base, but I'd really like to know where you got this info.

  • put down a litter of pups or kittens (as I had to do in my job this morning) and I am pretty sure you will feel differently

  • aw, that so sweet. he is incredibly precious. i call that thing the "bonnet" -- my kitty had to wear it too after surgery. he seems to be doing quite well though. *i can't believe you took a close-up of his balls though.

  • eww his bballs are yucky

  • That was a tragic tale. That poor pooch. He almost made me cry.
