I appreciate his lessons. He must be a cool guy. Seems to be calm and his behavior is so kind - opposite with some other 'guitar heroes' - Tks, dear Frank - and Uploader :)
If he's really trying to teach us something, shouldn't he at least be in tune? I love Frank's playing but damn, tune your guitar once in awhile. And you gotta love Frank's clothing style....have you seen his Modes lesson? He's wearing black leather pants with a pink tweety bird shirt on....not to mention the cool 80's pink guitar.
He's definately sarcastic. Its like he's saying you poor guitarists should of payed attention to my techniques from the beginning but heres a little something for you to nibble on lol. Great guy and personality as well.
um..on a rough morning I go barf in my boots, pick a fight with a homeless guy and miss my scrambled egg breakfast...and..no..can't play that like that....

what a master this man is, this is how sweeping should be done !
This guy and Allan Holdsworth make a lot of sense to me. I really jumped out of my seat when I heard Frank Gambale say(in another video) that not enough people pay enough attention to what their right hand doe. He couldn't be more correct!
If you wanna hear Frank rip like hell in a "Rock" format buy a rare rock album he produced and played on called "Big Franklin." It is so sick. I got it on iTunes. The whole album is great. It has a song called "Mama Said" that has so much feel and sole that you want to either quit or practice for the rest of your life !!!!!! ha ha
nope, because his picking hand isnt going in one sweep.... he goes up/down in one string (the D string I believe) thus making it economy picking and not sweep...

lol... alright...im assuming you know what economy picking is....you have to have the sweep motion in order to economy pick....they are like mini sweep, i guess... but they change direction between sweeps... sweep picking in the other hand go in one motion and change direction at the end of a sweep... thats the main difference... i have a dvd of this program and he even states he is demonstrating economy picking... he uses the term sweep because thats the motion of his hand
wow that is actually fun to play, its basically a major 7th arpeggio which sound cool over a minor 7th chord a minor 3rd from the root of the minor 7th chord

that's only one song though. even though jason becker is undoubtedly amazing, Frank Gambale graduated valedictorian from the GIT and has been sweeping for decades longer than Jason Becker has (I know he's disabled). frank gambale is the cleanest sweeper I've also ever heard. Serrana is riddled with tiny rhythm errors, much like Yngwie's work.

Check out more of his songs, that demonstration of Serrana is more or less just freely done. Also, just because he's from the GIT doesn't mean he is better at sweeping.
