The Snowglobe is a chance to change all the actual view of the SL, if whe use the head, we will be able to implement real time mirrors based on the water engine.
I agree, dynamic reflections would make a world of difference in changing the face of SL for the better. As would custom normal maps & height maps. (Parallax mapping) And Windlight presets that other people see automaticlaly when they visit your land.
Yes, i've downloaded the 1.19 version of the viewer and found the renderdynamicreflections, but i'm with a little older video card and cannot render it, i will look for a better card and try it
Snowglobe was hanging up and not responding to me for massive lengths of time which implied to me that it was crashing. It did this multiple times and I uninstalled it and I'm using the default viewer again.
One thing to note is that by default Snowglobe is preconfiggured for extremely high bandwidth settings: An unreasonable 5000kbps. Be sure before logging in to set this to a more reasonable setting based on your internet connection. Regular SL viewer's cap is 1500kbps. Snowglobe will really choke on it's default settings.
When i'm at low i can run the Meerkat viewer with 1024m but no changes in fps.

I've heard of Meercat before, but I never had any information about it. Is it opensource?
