the guy on the bottom left only has part of his head cut off. when the picture shifts, his cut off piece of hair creates a person, and his old body remains the same. it is not replaced when the shift happens

from left to right.....4th column, 3 row, the person's foot is cut creating another show for someone, 2nd clumn 2nd row the man's trunks are cut in half....4th column, 2nd row the person body is cut in halfs creating a two separate bodies, and then last the face....2nd column first row the mans face is cut in half creating a new face for someone else. i hope this helps anyone curious about this puzzle

first off a person is defined as someone with 4 things a face, body, trunks, and shoes. to validate a hypothesis the production of each of these 4 things should be explained. first off during the transition phase a person's foot was cut in half creating another pair of shoes for someone. the trunks of someone was also cut in half creating trunk for someone. as well as the body and then the last someone's face.

It's similar to laying out 20 coins in 4 groups of 5 coins each, and then taking 1 coin from each of the groups to make a 5th group, then asking where this mysterious "5th group" came from. It didn't come from anywhere, it was made by reducing the size of the other groups!

The guy at the bottom left has no hair after the switch so makes it so the guy who gets his hair can move over to the person who only has half a bodie and someone on the left side moved to the bottom half of the bodie causing 13 people!
