Wow, I am amazed. My minpin Brighid has such a prey drive, she would have to be lifted bodily off a rat and the poor critter pried from her jaws! No kidding, she could never be trusted around any small furry animal, including a cat. She once tried to climb a tree where a cat was, and stayed at it for over 30 minutes. A super hunter.
That didn't make any sense what you typed. I said my comment because terriers were bred to go in burrows and dig out rodents and other little critters, unlike the dog that was used.

I think that a few of my rats are smarter than most dogs. They are smart enough to know when they are an are not in danger unlike most other rodents that bite the shit out of everything.

My dog and cat work together to kill rats. They tried to do that with my cat fish. But the fish was like,ha ha you can't get me! Ha ha ha ha ha My cat and dog gave up.
@girlwholuvsnailart22 Sorry but I have to disagree with you. I have all three of the animals you listed and my rats are about 10 times friendlier than any of my dogs or cats. So... you're wrong. No animal is "better" than another but if your talking about which one makes a better pet, I have to say rats. Everyone has their own opinion though.
@doggieyo i have had rats, and i have a dog and mice now , i can tell dogs are more fun animals than both rats and mice and they're friendly too. Ok you have a chihuahua maybe that's the whole point
@doggieyo I love rats so much, there was one in my house and my dad shot it with a blow gun like 3 times and put it in a container and told me to throw it in the outside garbage....I let the little guy go free and watched him take the darts out and walk off so I hope he is okay

If you measure on the ability to learn some dogs are smarter than rats and some are dumber. Rats have a different kind of intelligence and have meta cognition, which dogs don't have.
@doggieyo let me clarify that i have had dogs in the past. many dogs. if you get a dog, get a mutt, they're much more intelligent and friendly than pedigrees. not to mention healthier.
