The way I had everyone survive was basically doing everyones loyalty missions and recruiting everyone but tali until a certain point. I don't think your crew gets kidnapped if you still don't have everyone. And then you can stock up on resources and get all the upgrades and prepare to get tali's upgrade when you get her, then do her loyalty mission. It works for me every time because the crew doesn't get kidnapped until after you go to a few places, so I can get everyones loyalty mission done

I will never understand why the hell they did an about face on having essentially everyone one of the "dirty dozen" team members be available from the start. I seem to recall one of the devs commenting somewhere that it had to do with either not enough memory or it requiring another disk but that's crap. They could have found someway around that. I mean with hacks you can still unlock it and the game works fine! I mean, if someone who understands programming knows something I don't then...

@RogueScholarBlue Some of the dialogues are there. But think about it... each recruitment is *huge* amounts of data not only in textures but in area geometry and the like.

Dialogue? That's a couple of audio files and they are a couple megabytes at most typically. Because of todays graphic whores, everything to do with textures has to be in the gigabytes or you'll have morons claiming the game sucks.

@sander4211 BW has initially planned that Legion should be accessible in early game. There are dialogs even for Mordin/ Jack recruit missions. Even though BW changed the idea later the dialogs are still their in the code.

After the legion recruitment time, you have time for one more mission before heading into the center of the galaxy. you dont have to recruit every member of your ship, theres even a dialogue option to go ahead with the members that you have already. so no, its not a hack, its just a clever work around that either BW missed or they saw and kept their options open.

@snfonseka These dialogues exist because the original idea was to have every squad member recruitable in any order after Freedom's Progress.

Due to space issues on the 360 version, the game got split into 2 parts and over 2 discs. So the recruitment sections were split into two sections, with collector-based missions inbetween.

It's a bit tricky. You have to make sure before you go to the Derelicht Reaper, you've done everyone else's recruitment and loyalty missions. You should be left with just recruiting Tali and the Derelicht Reaper. Get Legion first, then pick up Tali. You should then have enough time to do both Tali's and Legions Loyalty missions before the Reaper IFF starts and you lose the crew.

@Dominoblox maybe in your opinion. But to me, Mark has a more commanding tone and he does the monotone right. Male Shepard IS Commander Shepard to me, whilst Female Shepard feels like she's there just for Female Players.

I agree that Jennifer does a better job at emotion (Tali's exile speach for one) but her normal speaking tone is so terribly boring I dont want to play as a Female Shepard.

Reegar CAN die in this mission - I was playing Insanity, and taking out waves of Geth when your shields can't regen in certain cover zones is a pain in the ass.

Took about ten minutes of battle to get to the Colossus and kill it - that's how Reegar died in my game.

So I did this just now on insanity with zaeed and miranda. Yeah.... squad disruptor ammo basically breaks this mission in half... Let alone Me being a sentinel. Miranda and I both have area overload. Plus the incisor and temptest which both are effective against shields/synthetics. Add mirandas squad weapon dmg bonus and my AP ammo for geth prime armor and there you go. Easy as casual. :D
