Thank you for all of these tutorials I'm almost complete I've been throwin things of my own in there but for my next track I might have some questions is there anyway other than comments or youtube to contact you 1 on 1? If so that would be the most help I need just for some simple things.
Just a quick note though for the followers, and even perhaps yourself!
The Lowpass/Highpass that you are applying to your reverb on your "Bang" reverb doesnt actually Filter the original Sound. It only filters the actual effect!
So by setting a lowpass filter, you're essentially saying "I dont want any low frequencies in the "wetness" of the reverb!
Hey! First off, I'd like to give you big thanks for doing this tutorial. Second, I was wondering if you could tell me how you keep your CPU levels so low. In your videos, it usually sits at around 30%. For me, my CPU levels pass 100% almost every time I'm playing back my track! This distorts my whole song, and I'm never really able to hear it. :(
@DJTMuzik I put 8gigs of ram in my MacbookPro, the one I use for recording. But before that, with 4gigs it worked fine too. I'm using the 15" MBP, late 2009 model I believe. ^E
OMG now mines doing it, i woke up read your comment this morning, went and did my thing, came home started up ableton and I get this crackling and slowness at the build up to my drop along with high CPU levels, did you figure anything out?
its still doing it after I reinstalled, do you know how massive causes it? think it could be a ram issue? lol you see, I joked around on that other comment cause I actually do have a shitty computer :P its a macbook so just useless amounts of ram, got it in like 06 so it still only has two 256MB modules, thats right i've been running 512MB of ram since 06 :P so do you think it would have the same symptom?
@kyleeisenbarger It's been a week so I'm sure you've solved it by now, but if not, try adjusting the Time knob in the Oscillator section of Massive. Even if it's just a tad bit off it can throw off the rate at which the sound plays.
Thanx tornado this such a great thing to experience. the way u teach is much detailed and dedicated for a charge of Free, some commercial tuts even don't have this type of quality. hats off
Love what you guys are doing, always been scared to start trying to make tracks. While it's still really intimidating still this is a great way to ease into it.
@Oldskoolskater08 Thanks dude. The intimidating/overwhelming part will always stay. When you make something cool, there's always something cooler out there that discourages. Don't mind that though, just do your thing and let a lot of people know about it. ^E
@TornadoTwins honestly, ive been following ur tutorials along, reading all the comments as I go and i have 100% agreed with all of them the whole way, but after making the buildup in this tutorial, all i am doing is smiling like an idiot at my computer... you guys are awsome...
GGAAHHH!!! You guys are seriously awesome for this. I cannot effing wait!! FUCK!!!

why not just throw a reverb on your drum track and use the automation. Creating an extra channel for one reverb kick seems a little weird.

@irish420Hitman Yeah, Massive causes it. You'll need to reinstall it. If you have a torrented version of it, I have no idea how to fix it haha.

@DJTMuzik use a different sound driver =] i was getting lags before then i got asio sound drivers
TheJonathanbagnall 2 months ago
@DJTMuzik go to your audio options and increase the size of your buffer, this gives the cpu more time to render the music! :)

@DJTMuzik i have only 1 gig ram and it stays only at 20% for me
