  • dance of the living dead gets me everytime :)

  • What makes this great is that even though its over 30 years old it still is pretty accurate display of the private club world, if youve ever worked in a club you can totally relate someone in your club to all the characters in this movie.

  • I can't think of anyone who had so many funny lines per screentime in one movie...talk about a comedy tour de force...RIP Rodney

  • I think the waitress is legitimately cracking up.

  • @NickESantoro According to a documentary I saw on Caddyshack EVRYONE, cast and crew, had to struggle not to laugh so they would not ruin the audio track

  • 'You must have been something before electricity' lolz

  • He always said he got no respect but he was one of the greatest in my book. A shame he wasn't in more movies. He stole every scene he was in.

  • Dog Food? Ill Show His Dog Food Lmao

  • I think he said did somebody step on a duck

  • to British viewers...Dangerfields character reminds me a bit of a American version of Del Boy out of Only fools and horses,,,do you think that John Suvillan drew inspiration from this film? because it was made about the sametime as OF&H

  • @ACNC1 I don't reckon so Caddyshack was released 83 and Only Fools was a bit before that. So Del Boys character had been written. I can see what your saying though both characters are loud, nouveau riche and love winding people up.

  • Classic!

  • ROFL... About thirty insults in about one and a half minutes...

  • I love Rodney but that fart was wrong and he had to lean all the way to the left to free up his cheeks and did it all on a lady!!!

  • It's the dance of the living dead! LMAO!

  • thumbs up if you think burtonrules123 is a complete moron.

  • Nice!

  • "I'll tell ya this steak still has marks where the jockey was beating it."

  • rodney dangerfield was literally the only good thing about this movie. his jokes were so bad they were actually good! hey you live alone? lol! but everyone else, even bill murray was just UGH! not at there best lets just put it that way. very overrated.

  • @burtonrules123 fuck you

  • @f1ashp01nt fuck you.

  • AMAZINGLY FUNNY!

  • "Hey doll, could you stir up another round for our table over here, oh and tell the cook this is low grade dog food alright."

"DOG FOOD!?, ILL SHOW HIM DOG FOOD!" Lmfao xD

  • "The graveyard is two block`s from the left!" - LMFAO !!!

  • "A lovely lady! You must have been something before electricity!"

  • RIP

  • They call this class in SOUTH PHILLY.

  • @edthewise lol

  • The funny thing is he thought he was bombing because nobody on the set was laughing. Scott Collomby(Tony) told him that they can't laugh because it would mess up the soundtrack. --The 19th Hole, Special Feature of Caddyshack 20th Anniversary edition.

  • "hey rabbi"

  • 1:09

  • Dog food! I'll show him dog food!

  • he reminds me of my favorite uncle....

  • @ripperduck this role is practically based on funny uncles!!

  • You musta been something before electricity....!!

  • I wish that the country club that i caddie at had only like 30 caddies like in the movie instead of around 200.

  • @robBears96 i wish i could caddy at a golf course. where im from, golf carts have completely replaced caddies. wouldnt mind looping for some extra cash

  • "Somebody step on a duck?"

  • Nice!

  • this movie is what made me want to caddy... and I'm 14

  • 3 Dislikes? Who dislikes Rodney Dangerfield in Caddyshack? Bin Laden, Satan and Judge Smails? Brutal. This guy is timeless.

  • GENIUS!

    RIP Rod

  • Now i know way tigers eat there young

  • dance of the living dead

  • Somebody step on a duck?

  • Let's go, while we're young!

  • I personally think many people viewed Rodney Dangerfield as somewhat of a jerk. My mom was one of them. I personally liked him. I also think that Al Czervik was a reflection of Rodney's off-screen demeanor. One of the last times I can remember seeing him on TV was on Late Night With Conan O'Brien. The dialogue between Rodney and Conan was, "(Rodney) Hey, did you hear I had group sex last night? (Conan) No, what happened? (Rodney) My wife screwed me in front of a grand jury." I laughed so hard...

  • Hey everybody, we're all gonna get laid!

  • It's the dance of the living dead!!

  • DOGFOOD?!

    lol She told him.

  • the best is when he rips ass lmfao

  • Purple pants, yellow shirt, white tie, plaid jacket... :-)

  • 3 people didn't get the free bowl of soup

  • Hey Honey, you live alone??

  • 3 people are low grade dog food.

  • 0:33 Ain't that right?! 'Guy looking mean"' The grave yard is 2 blocks to the left LOL

  • I miss him :.-(

  • There should be an Academy Award for best comedy so genius films like Caddyshack can get their just due

  • Rodney Dangerfield had two signature lines, "I get no respect," & "Let's go, while we're young." Another joke he told a few months before he died came when he was on Conana Obrien's show some years ago. The joke goes, Rodney: Hey, did you hear I had group sex last night? Conan: No, what happened? Rodney: My wife screwed me in front of a grand jury. Now, many people may think Rodney was an obnoxious a--hole, but I thought he was laugh-out-loud funny. RIP Rodney, one of the legends of comedy.

  • That scene alone was worth the cost of the ticket. Thank you Rodney RIP

  • Funny

  • the dance of the living dead, pure classic Rodney, lol

  • "Now I know why tigers eat their young" LOLLL

  • ".. And tell the cook this is low grade DOG FOOD alright." XDDDDDDDDD

  • Class act, that Rodney Dangerfield. He can sling wisecracks like no other.

  • He was great,as always.

  • i have to do this for a philosophy assignment ob the quote"now i know why tigers eat thier young"

can someone please help me out on what this means

  • @msattar100 Tigers eat their young when the cubs look like they aren't going to make it in the wild based on their genetic makeup. Basically, what Rodney means is that Spaulding (the grandson) looks like he is going to be a loser and isn't going to "make it" in life.

  • Rodney is classic in this movie! Not only his lines but when he farts his facial expression when he does it. He made the movie.

  • LEGENDARY

  • Haha! Nothin' like shitting your pants among a roomfull of snobs.

  • DOGFOOD!!!

  • "Now I know why tigers eat their young!" I teach middle school, and if I had a dollar for every time I thought of this quote after dealing with certain kids, all of us who ever visited this site could retire!

  • Rodney Dangerfield owned this movie. Absolute legend!

  • 2 people stepped on ducks!

  • 1:05 looks like she is really pretty actually lol

  • I think the 2 people were Judge Smails and the Chef.

  • 2 people couldn't get no respect

  • I WANT THAT SUIT. It's FAF!

  • Now I know why tigers eat their young...

  • Oh Captain hook, how bout dat grand you owe me....nah im jus kiddin...haha

  • I had better food at the ball game

    haha

  • One of the funniest comedy nights I ever enjoyed was in Houston when I had a front row seat for Rodney Dangerfield. I laughed till I was in tears.

no respect.... no respect at all.

  • I would have loved to have been insulted by Rodney Dangerfield

  • I doubt anyone can ever match the comedic timing or self-deprecating humor of the master. Rest in Peace Rodney!

  • "He's a wonderful boy, I tell ya!" ........ Aside to his friends: "Now I know why tigers eat their young!" One of my favorite alltime movie quotes, and probably tops for being funny!! Thanks very much, Wolfengang, for posting this!! Already added it to my favorites list .... for as long as it lasts.

  • Rodney was one of the All-Time best!! RIP!

  • DOG FOOD!!!

  • the others in this scene must have been trying so hard not to laugh their asses off during the filming!

  • It's not tigers that eat their young, it's spiders.

  • My HERO !!

  • It was a very very funny movie but the Irish accent on the girl ruined it for me Overall Caddyshack still is very funny

  • @cpnstav I agree 100%!

  • Rodney was the best. Too bad he only made 3 movies.

  • rodney rules leno does him but cant equal

  • "...Uhh, Captain Hook, uh, how 'bout the grand you owe me, huh..ahh forgetaboutit..I'm just kiddin' alright...oh, this your wife?....ohh, a lovely lady..hey baby, your alright, you musta been somethin' before electricity, huh? ..lol,,ok,.."

  • @WiseGuy5674 Yes this scene was so funny i almost spit up beer!

  • Who is that disgusting man?

  • I just stepped on a duck

  • called the priest rabbi lol

  • *FFFFAAARRRTTT*

  • @ThrilloVanHouten "Somebody step on a duck?"

  • love it!

  • i cant believe hes dead

  • best movie ever, the sequal was the worst sequel ever

  • @THIRDSHOCKARMY Well it was okay they had to replace dangerfield with randy quaid and dan ackroyd just wasnt the same...

  • @THIRDSHOCKARMY : Not really I liked Caddyshack 2. Albeit Jackie Mason was NO match to Dangerfield. Nevertheless, Mason wasreasonably funny along with Dan Akroyd and Chevy Chase -who kinda steals the show in Caddyshack 2. I particularly liked the beautiful brunette Jewish actress Jessica Lundy. I think Jonathan Silverman & Jessica Lundy made a great pair. Caddyshack 2 was more romantic but less humorous as compared to Caddyshack 1.

  • @paxfromindy it shows desperation though, they wanted a repeat of the first movie but they couldnt pull it off

  • @paxfromindy well thats what you like,im a comedy kinda person and i like Caddyshack for how funny it was

  • @THIRDSHOCKARMY : Ofcourse Caddyshack is awesome...funny, witty, sweet, romantic everything. the bottom line : I dearly miss the fantabulous 80's....those were the days my friend. Movies nowadays suck ass. Crappy actors, crummy direction, crass propaganda and assinine scripts. Man even the music sucks.....I wish there was a time machine.

  • @paxfromindy time machine, your on the wrong movie,ur thinking of back to the future lol

  • @THIRDSHOCKARMY : I meant I wished there was a time machine so I could go back to the fabulous 1980's and enjoy great movies & awesome music...unlike the garbage churned out in today's substandard entertainment industry.

  • @paxfromindy tell me about...if there was one chance....ONE CHANCE, that i could go back in time...i would.

  • @paxfromindy Yea, if there was a time machine, you go to the future to get some gambling knowledge and come back to the 80's to kick it. That was when money had real value.

You forgot to mention the forgettable reality shows. So much sucks these days. People can say what they want, but rich to lower middle class, people were doing their thing. Maybe minorities had it worse.

  • @paxfromindy A hot tub can take you back to the 80s now! LOL

  • @jrmetmoi : LOL thanx :)

  • now i know why tigers eat their young

    lmao!!!

  • I just realized: Andrew Dice Clay ripped-off Dangerfield's delivery-style, almost verbatim in his routines.

  • 0:59 You must have been something before electricity. Best Line XD

  • Man... I miss Rodney!

  • the graveyard is two blocks to the left

  • "you must a been somethin before electricity"

  • I can't believe 2 people gave this a thumbs down. WOW.

  • @PUNKem733 they must have been old people who look like they are part of the living dead.

  • u must have been something be4 electricity....

  • "You musta been sumthin before electricity!"

  • Best. Suit. Ever.

  • the dance of the living dead!

  • somebody step on a duck

  • Comment removed

  • DOG FOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • LMFAO @ Rodneys legs ahahahaha

  • Yeah this steak still has marks were the jockey was hitting it!

  • You must have been something before Electricity~ lmao Tell the cook this is low grade dog food- lmao TY for psoting this classic comedy!

  • If it asn't for Rodney and Murray Caddyshack would have totally sucked like the second one. I still don't rate it as a classic because it should of had much more of those two guys to be a classic. Back to School now that was a classic since it was all Rodney. The actor that played Rodneys son sucked, but Downey Jr. made up for him.

  • @barbarianbro : Personally after Dangerfield's character the 2nd best act is Chevy Chase - who I though was way more funnier as compared to Murray. I especially loved the scene where Chevy Chase makes an entry into the ballroom in the beginning of the movie and gives out a polite wry smile to 2 snobish upperclass WASP chicks and as soon as they pass him, he comically rolls out his tongue mimicking an oral sexual gesture. That was freakin' hilarious!

  • Movies used to be made like this. It looks so much better to me than a lot of modern large budget movies.

  • @VeracityProductions Back when movies looked like real life. Now, it is like watching some Matrix-like dream too often.

  • This fella is Brilliant Whoever wrote him in had great taste anf foresight a timeless movie thanks for posting

  • Rodney is THE only one to watch and listen to in this whole film; he'd make going to a golf course actual fun!

  • LEGEND!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • nobody can do it like rodney!

  • Dance of the living dead! hahaha

  • No filthy language. Not needed when you're a real talent like Rodney. He was the best, we loved him because he was "joe everyman," just one of us even when he was playing a rich guy. We love and miss you Rodney.
