I was on vacation in Cape Cod with my family last summer. I'm a teenage girl, but I had recently found an old sock monkey from when I was little, and was toting it around with me while I explored our vacation house. It was cold, and damp, and kinda falling apart, but still nice. And when I went upstairs, I found a small, locked door in the family room. Still holding the doll, I said, "Hey Dad, where does this door go?" I gasped. I didn't go upstairs for the rest of the vacation.
There's a door behind the wall in my sisters room, we never were allowed to go in, but one time we uncovered it.. it was cream colored... paint chipping off and the handle was rusted, it didn't need a key... but what we found inside was....
wholey crap coraline..... favorite movie.. favorite book..... BEST soundtrack.... best memories watching it.... this is the kind of movie i hope to own the reast of my life and MAKE my kids watch

Some movies--Coraline is one of them--make me glad that real life isn't like movies. You can always go back to the real world afterward...Coraline couldn't. Even with people like Wybee and her real mom the Other Mother could still get her. Like that scene with Other Mother's creepy hand that follows Coraline home at the very end. The hand was scarier than the Other Mother herself somehow.

After seeing this movie my daughter started saying things like that. We were in Toys R Us for something and she asked for a toy and I told her no, because we weren't there to get her anything and she goes, "My other mother would buy it for me..." I didn't really know what to say. I figured she was kidding, we don't have any secret door in our house =). So I just told her, "Well, hopefully she gets it for you. Because I'm not." I felt kind of bad afterwards... But I don't know why she said that.

I wish everone can have all of these experience with Coraline, Wall-e, Open season, etc. With a portal control nod I wish we may travel to different dimensions or universe with these things happening, because everything is possible right? All my life I've been searching for a new world...but I've never been successful and even before I saw Coraline, I wanted to find a door to a paralel universe.
This music was elegant in stitching together the feelings of upset, confusion and abandon that Coraline felt when she couldn't find her parents. You just know that something is wrong and you get that feeling that children have when they ask "Where are my Mama and Papa?"

At this point; while I can understand Coraline's anger and distress, I also feel bad for the parents because they aren't intentionally ignoring her.

They lead to rooms with old floor tiles and building material. They are very small and dark. That's a bit creepy.

@daaaaaa i have always been thinking other langues...... like chinese it's only daadee baa bo or something for me :) how they can understand it? like german i always think about german langue "how they can understand their own langue" and then i think how i can understand my own langue..... Btw i am finnish

After seeing this movie my daughter started saying things like that. We were in Toys R Us for something and she asked for a toy and I told her no, because we weren't there to get her anything and she goes, "My other mother would buy it for me..." I didn't really know what to say. I figured she was kidding, we don't have any secret door in our house =). So I just told her, "Well, hopefully she gets it for you. Because I'm not." I felt kind of bad afterwards... But I don't know why she said that.

But not only was Coraline relentlessly blabbing about this preposterous "Other World" to her parents, to Coraline's mother (as well as most people) Coraline saying that seemed as if she was just using her dream as an annoying excuse for overpriced gloves.

I wish everone can have all of these experience with Coraline, Wall-e, Open season, etc. With a portal control nod I wish we may travel to different dimensions or universe with these things happening, because everything is possible right? Or we may have a future interactive super computer that simulates these worlds in real time and we can play inside and do anything LOL!

That would be awesome =D I personally think that all of these worlds xsist outside of this one I think that all fanstaciful ideas humans come up with xsisted in their own worlds before we even though of them Hence, everything we come up with already xisted and just entered our minds like little wisps and ideas of that world come in to our brains I dunno Just a thought ^_^ Sorry if any of that didn't make sense It's kind of a hard idea to xpress in words xD

Then go check it out =) Becareful though since I don't know it it's dangerous physically or not (ie. mold, lead paint, cracking drywall etc.) Even science itself has xplained that alternate universes are possible and freak worm holes can open up leading to other dimensions and such I decided a while ago that nothing is impossible It's all just improbable, but it's still possible in my view ^_^ We don't know what's out there and nothing is really all that absolute when ya get right down to it

Yeah. I absolutly understand, also the beings there might have an idea of us and do a film of us LOL! And the law of physics are not the same as us. Tho I think we can go there if we have enough advance technology making them extremely safe to go and do anything we want ! XD If we don't mess things up....

This music was elegant in stitching together the feelings of upset, confusion and abandon that Coraline felt when she couldn't find her parents. You just know that something is wrong and you get that feeling that children have when they ask "Where are my Mama and Papa?"

but going into a whole nother world thats freaks you out but you cant stay away from. it would be wonderful. and id find all the danger exciting.
