You've got everything horribly wrong, the other foot goes forward, the grip normally only has 2 fingers on the inside of the disc and the best way to catch is in a clapping motion. This needs to be taken off for any beginners sake.
this guy clearly doesnt play ultimate, everything he explains is wrong. especially the grip. wrong foot going forward. this guy just plays disc golf, at least i hope
good introduction. though i would disagree with the feet...you should be moving your right foot when throwing with a forehand. your body should face where you throw but your feet should be at least perpendicular, if not more, (at least 90 degrees to where you're throwing). also i would tilt the frisbee the other side when throwing, keeps it straight in the air when throwing harder).
sorry if i seem to be disagreeing too much...good introduction still :)
Wow this guy makes frisbee look bad... all wrong this is only for disc golf, NOT ULTIMATE.

When I throw it always curves off to the right so that it ends up rolling on the ground. What am I doing wrong?

I have to agree with Zander. When playing real ultimate Frisbee you never want to step forward.
