  • I was happy until at 4:13 I had realized that it can't go on forever....whole song loop in mixcraft ftw :D..........."Music is unique to everyone, where one finds grace, another finds energy, this song is a new found sense of hope..and an alarm to wake up to once I reach 2:25 :P

  • Fucking love FUCK BUTTONS!

  • This song actually really bright and positive :)

  • I just wasted 4 minutes of my life ............

  • @LincolnCountyArmy ...typing that comment, because you were so indulged in the song that your brain didn't function properly and phased out of your body.

  • @LincolnCountyArmy And more bothering to type that comment!

  • Crap

  • 1:34

  • this is SUCH a good song.. ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

  • comment about how your opinion is wrong and mine is right.

  • woohoo!!! viva fuck buttons!

  • I find this just boring, they only thing these guys have is their hipster cred and a vulgar band name.

  • @alexsweeley You don't like this and that's fine, but I find it quite good. Music evokes different reactions for different people, and for many Fuck Button music is boring b/c it is repetitive, but for their fans, they like it because it is repetitive but it has a little progressive feel that is not overwhelming but still rewarding once the song is over.

  • @alexsweeley You've obviously never ever heard this song on a big system like it's meant to be heard. It's pure rapturous bliss. Now shut the fuck up :)

  • Very interesting. Ha! Ha! The sky is exploding!!

  • Eh doh, has any one heard The future sound of London?

  • asowome! buen visual, :)

  • I'd love to see this band! but they should not be a support act for the pixies...

  • wow you people really need to calm down its just a song or background music ....whatever just chill we are all strangers to each other we don't have to have the same taste in music.

  • I love this band! If you don't get it that's cool. Some of us though like music that pushes boundaries and perceptions. Just so you know the mainstream will be ripping this band off in about ten years time. ...and everyone will claim them as their favourite underground band and claim BEST EVER on their live show that they happened to catch going to see the pixies. Just because the rest of the sheep do! The pixies seem to have good taste!! :) Awesome track!

  • @SudoEkko lol @ the implicaton that, by listening to fuck buttons, you are in some way superior to someone that listens to pop music

  • @parnowihavetogoblind Yeah, I do have a superiority complex, but I'm learning to live with it. My main comment was that someone posting here that the fuckbuttons are boring, seems a little ignorant.

  • @SudoEkko an opinion they are entitled to, nonetheless.

  • The Arctic Monkeys are an AWESOME band you fuckhead, how come you have never heard of them?!!

  • @SumGirlsmakeGraves yeah it was really boring. I wanted to leave to get a soda and chill but i didn't want to lose my spot for when the pixies came on.

  • Comment removed

  • I mean the fuckbuttons part...the pixies fucking rocked.

  • @Nick77076 Yeah, I saw them too at the Austin Hall with fuck buttons being the opening band and everyone was standing there all dazed and confused but I liked it

  • @peachkey: I know right? I liked their lights but the show itself really sucked. I think that 50% of the reason was the crowd and 50% was that the music sucked.

  • It's hard listening to their studio material now that I've seen them live. Fantastic experience.

  • i saw them open for the pixies, worst 30 minutes ever

  • @peachkey ahh come on, that shit sounded GOOD! Pixies were great as well....

  • @donkeyinaz it was just 30 minutes of 2 dudes playin around on a computer

  • whoah..

  • Andrew, any chance you could re-upload this in full 1080HD? this is insanely mind-blowing as it is but in 1080 I might feel my eyes implode. you and Ben do an amazing job. I take back everything I ever thought about you in my first comment of Surf Solar. I understand now, I'm ready to follow you to the end of the Earth, lead us into a bright tomorrow!

  • i think ive been brainwashed. i can't stop my eyes watering

  • the first tme i heard this song me and my friend were blazed as bitches, and i said i'd heard of this cool electronic duo called fuck buttons. cue our minds being completely raped by this track.. in a good way.

  • saw them at Lollapalooza! INCREDIBLE!

  • These film clips are sooo 1991. Its perfect! :)

  • beautiful, i almost went to tears the first time i heard this song.

  • hipster kitty approves

    so i approve.

  • who exactly framed roger rabbit?

  • glo-fi/chillwave for the win, kthnxbyeee =]

  • its vage,,dont know what u guys wanna do,,,but in another sense ,,everything for nothing,,,

  • pish posh, Hegel would be proud to see us all arguing, or as i prefer, antithesizing.

  • @carrotflowerking1 die in a fire plz, kthnx.

  • i saw them 2 years ago at Pukkelpop festival. awesome performance, unbelieveble amount of power mixed with rich harmonics. grace and fury.

  • @Ruxie666 saw them there too. they're great!

  • I saw these guys at ten years of ATP at minehead in december 2009 got to see them soundcheck too, what an amazing band live on cd and in video. Incredible.

  • great song. Gives me goosebumps, subjectively and objectively speaking.

  • Who the fuck are Arctic Monkeys?

  • @zososierp A good band. look em up

  • @zososierp They are a fantastic British Indie Rock band.

  • @zososierp WOW YOUR A DUMB FUCK

  • @jhonnydrama You're, prick.

  • @jhonnydrama Oh, and nice grammar guys. "wow your dumb fuck" Nice, real fucking nice. Get off the internet, buy a gun, and shoot yourself. No one likes you, you have nothing to offer society but shitty grammar and ALL CAPS posts.

  • @alexsweeley GO FUCK YOURSELF U FUCKING CUNT

  • @jhonnydrama I'm sorry, it seems you can't afford a gun. Would you like me to mail you some QUALITY rope so you can hang yourself?

  • @alexsweeley im not even that into this song but i can tell that you are a prick

  • @alexsweeley ur a pozer

  • @zososierp Arctic Monkeys is a really great band

  • Mashina?? dude what the fuck are you smoking? this sounds nothing like Mashina. They're pop rock or something this is drone music which is something you obviously don't get.

you're just mad at people who make music that you don't understand, so grow up. and how is this "racist"?

  • You know what's funny? No matter what the video, people argue in the commentary field. It's really quite ridiculous. Merry Christmas fucktards

  • @ jikkajojjo: Totally true. I think because it's just human nature to want to argue. For most people, to not argue requires energy and effort, and they don't want to spend it. It's kinda sad because it's really not that hard, laziness just keeps them going at it. Of course, there's always those other people who don't WANT to snap out of it, they enjoy the bickering too much to quit.

  • @jikkajojjo NO! you're wrong, I've seen plenty of videos where people don't argue in the commentary section. You must be a fucking retard, go kill yourself... JK

    Always something to argue...

  • Comment removed

  • @jikkajojjo - I disagree.

  • what the fuck

  • Without wanting to sound like a pompous arse, but doesn't all art split opinion and create an emotional response? If it made you feel nothing, like say the porridge they play on radio 1 then it is not art.

    cheque please!

  • I dont care how these dudes made their music this is art at its best...I say keep it up...very inspiring and captivating...good music for soundtracks too.

  • this video is amazing

  • the music is so simplistic but amazeing at the same time, its giveing me an emotion i dont understand but i like it. thumbs up for me.

  • @paddybenson626 You don't understand the emotion, yet you possess and can explore it as much as you wish.

    You Irish, or something?

  • @zososierp whats that suppose to mean?

  • @zososierp wats wrong with being irish??

  • when i first heard these guys, i thought they were shit. i take that back. they are awesome

  • for everyone who doesn't get this music - you need to have a little madness inside you to really understand it - and weep with it.

  • Define mad.

  • can anyone tell me why they are hyped all that much? seriously, i do not understand. The arrangement is quite boring imo and is way too much repeated over and over again. or is it the sounds they create what makes them so unique?

  • Although I don't dislike the sound they create, I have seen live videos, and honestly, they almost completely lack talent. Like some college kids who had some extra money, bought a macbook, and two keyboards and just decided to make music that they don't really even play. Them live is just like... Two guys standing by a macbook playing easy keyboard parts every so often. Once again, I don't dislike it, it just lacks skill. This video is good though. I think he'd do better as a director instead.

  • would you prefer if they played guitar hero

  • @crazyvideoplace Someone can have all the technical knowledge in the world and still lack creative talent. These boys are gifted.

  • Meh... I don't think so. But I don't REALLY know, even though some people are actually talented and others aren't, from this viewpoint it's all completely relative.

  • @nairshampoo YEAH! wiseful

  • Best "Noise" I've heard for months ;)

  • Well, I love it.

It evokes strong emotions in me--even if it is just noise.

  • 'just noise'? what is music if it is not noise? do you need more than noise?

  • I'm so trippin my balls off watching this, man.

  • different and cool

  • gunslingerELD1

Oh you silly, silly person! Don't judge the people who like this music - if you don't like it then give it your one star and shut the fuck up. I love this music! I don't do drugs, and i'm pretty sure my life span will have nothing to do with Fuck Buttons. thats all.

  • they are good, relax in a couch with your headphones on, daydreaming.

  • All respect goes to this band for not doing as you imagined. Groups like this contribute to the discourse of Art beginning in Europe circa 1910. Futurists (Italy), Dadaists (Switzerland) during WWI, and later with the Surrealist and Fluxus Art movements. Very interesting relevant stuff if you're ever in the mood to expand your scope of interests beyond Norwegian Country & Western music from the mid 1980s. Jimi Hendrix, Sonic Youth and Lou Reed even fall into the "noise music" genre.

  • music is an expression of self, i think you're the one with the audacity to totally ignore now many views or ratings this song got, same way i stare at those plain paintings in galleries and wonder why it deserves to be there, you're just not feeling it

  • I agree, that ideally, music is an expression of self. However, in todays commersial market, that is not the ultimate truth. There are lots of acts on the market today, that are there, only for the sake of making money. Take Britney Spear for instance. She got a breakthrough, not because she had the inspiration to write music. But because a record company already had a finished product, that somebody else didn't want to perform. All music isn't art by default. If this speaks to you, then enjoy.

  • ok i partially agree....spears as a mouseketeer right? i don't think it really matters though, for art, the means by which it was produced to invoke a meaning in an individual though, its all about how its interpreted by the individual to say its "good or bad" imo, from indie to modern day artists like kanye.....if you're feeling it then all the more power to you (p.s. tastes change with age, income level, culture etc. whether its good taste or not depends on the status quo i guess)

  • But on a more serious note. If I'd make this, even if it was a hearthfelt expression of my inner feelings, I wouldn't ever expect a record company to release it. I'm not saying that my oponion about this piece of music is the only possible truth. Not in any way. But your opinion about it, isn't the only possible truth either. True art, has different meanings to different people, it cannot please everybody. So perhaps it proves this is real art? I don't think this is art, but it may be to you.

  • @StimorolChewingGum

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder man! I can see where your dislike for this music comes from, but the truth remains that no music is for everyone. I understand that you don't like it, but do you really have to hate? Everyone has their own opinion man, why don't you try growing up and realizing that the world is full of different opinions, not just your own.

  • @CWalla8796

You're the one bringin in hate, not me. Never said I hate it, I just truly don't believe the guys behind this really made it out of any other reason than for the sake of being unusual. This music really doesn't have the ability to evoke any such strong emotions for me. I do realize that people have different opinions, but that doesn't mean that we can all agree with every single one, now does it? I said it was boring, which at least to me, is a fairly weak expression.

  • This "tune" is pathetic.. There's nothing to it!!

  • You have no idea how mistaken you are.

I like the Yeahyeahyeahs too, but don't you get tired of the obvious and the fashionable?

  • Just curious. If I ever start a band, I'm gonna make sure it has fuck in the name somewhere, because fuck is apparently equivalent to genius.

  • Everybody in this cunting comments thread know absolutely fuck all about what is good and what is not shut up youtube shut up

  • this choon goes know where

  • Comment removed

  • Spellcheck!

No one will ever understand what the heck you're trying to say. I do think you are trying to type "This TUNE goes NOWHERE".

    Yours sincerely The grammar Nazi

  • It's good though. I like it

  • pitchfork really needs to mix it up a bit. it's like the james murphy stuff.

  • Why is it that so many great musicians have "Fuck" in their names? Fuck Buttons, Fucked Up, Condo Fucks...

  • don't forget "Holy Fuck"

  • i saw them support battles, they were amazing battles were shit

  • What are you talking?? about Battles are amazing!!

  • I think that he is commenting upon the specific show that he saw. All bands/groups have shit nights... just how it is.

  • Fuck yes, Battles.

  • he looks just like my mate !! he does !

  • Intense set at stereo!! Makes me feel happy and messed up inside at the same time!!!!

  • Trancy, noisy, up lifting, every thing. Like an airplane flying under the sea.

Trancera, ruidosa, subidoneante, de todo. Como un avión volando bajo el mar.

  • Sir, all respect to you for showing that there are infact people on the internet who speak both Spanish and English. There are far to many posts in spanish on here where people are yelling about it and throwing foul words at eachother. You sir, have my eternal gratitude.

    // Grammar Nazi

  • wow : )

  • Wiii ohoo dis song is wkd lyk imean its puuuuuuaaaaa greaatttt innnnit

  • Great show at Invada Invasion, boys! Bloody excellent. You are my new favourite band.

  • great''

  • Well, it would almost all be colour keying (blue screening). The sky in this case would be the blue. Quite simple really. Though the image compositions themselves are quite nice.

  • I think you might have buried the lead a bit.

  • this MV is fucking awesome. he only used cell phone and after effect? omg, someone knows how he made his by using which tool? (by the way, I don't know how to use After Effect)

  • venice i meant

  • i think it is Trafalgar Square in London, because there is something that looks like Nelson's Column and there are fountains and the national gallery of art. so look into that

i could be wrong though, I assumed it was that, and I may have projected my idea of Trafalar Square on some other european open space.

But look that up if you are curious i think it is.

  • i think this in vencice, cause of the architecture and the birds am I right????? does anyone know where he shot this???????

  • its trafalgar square in london

  • You're right! It's gotta be, good song and video. What so ever.

  • at 1:32 mins, you can make out a white figure. this is a sculpture of a disabled woman called Alison Lapper that was put on the empty pillar at trafalgar square.

  • i actually really like this song

  • Comment removed

  • also worth a view is "sweet love for planet earth"

very similar but with a much better build-up.

  • Arguing on youtube is such a waste of time.

  • Yes we should all just agree with each other and have an easy life.

  • fuckin a for the fuckbuttons!

  • bloody bettroots just twitteer this vid (Y)

  • Nice vid for a superb song.....

Fuck Buttons do it for me.......keep up the good work guys.

  • It's the kind of thing anyone could knock out in 2mins - no most people would knock out something better!

  • Errrr....yes , of course they could ; you are quite obviously extremely insightful and 100% correct .

There you go ...... hope you feel better now ;)

  • Now - now - other people are entitled to their opinion. But seriously it is pretty lazy piece of work by anyone's standards - probably even their own.

  • This little convo is what made me think you have something personal against the band. Why did you find it necessary to put down a band this guy is obviously into when you were completely unprovoked? Are you trying to convert the world to have the same tastes in music as you?

  • Maybe there's is a bigger picture here - but listening to this alone doesn't inspire me or make me want to find out more. I came accross this video innocently not on some mission to shoot someone down. I tend to look at music in isolation I don't get caught up in all that I'm a fan stuff.

  • That's great, but begs the question: are you being forced to come to this video over and over (and I'm not talking about being obligated to reply to me)? Why not, after stating your opinion of this band, move on to something you do like? I'm sure that would be much more fun.

  • Now your talkin and since your defending this band I'll try and find out their bigger picture along the way. Good day to you!

  • I don't think you can really call any piece of music a lazy piece of work. A song doesn't have to be intricate to be good. In fact, there's a large group of artists on a mission to prove that.

  • pretentious - moi

  • Pretentious Moi? Never

  • Maybe someone could knock this out, but they haven't. Fuck Buttons have long songs with repeated sequences on purpose not because they are lazy. The length of their songs is an idea which talks about the length of songs. Its like it questions how long they can draw sequence out for. repetition for a particular reason dude.

  • Wow Man u don't say your like blowin my mind and shit!

  • it is like "the sun rising over the ocean... then going supernova."

  • Fuck buttons don't need to end or go anywhere. They're perfect as they are.

  • This is the difference between ambient-influenced music and other forms of music. If you are used to Top 40 songs, with a very strict music production style as well as a predictable song structure, then you will indeed have this kind of reaction when confronted to artists like Fuck Buttons. All I can say, without trying to be condescending, is open your mind to different types of music. I appreciate the fact that you have a reason for backing up your opinion, though!

  • Comment removed

  • I'm fine with musicians trying to do something different with song structure and to experiment. But there's good different and bad different - like the guy said this is pretty bad. The music itself is mundane not original then there's a shouty bit sampled- I can't listen to this again - so it must be pretty aweful. But good luck to them for trying I don't know any of their other "songs" so perhaps they have written something at least half decent -

  • Different people think different things are good and bad. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean there's anything "wrong" with it and certainly doesn't make it "awful".

  • sure mate all music is subjective - Bucks Fizz sold alot of records does that mean their good? Seriously though listen to this recording - it's like something someone has made in their bedroom - it lacks musical originality - no vocals - there's a poxy little sample - no tune - bad production - no effort at all - it's something u might play to your friend as a first attempt at writing a Toon but not something you unleash on the public! But if u like it fair enough! At worst it is truely aweful!

  • Your YouTube comments seem to suggest you have something personal against this group. Someone who describes music with pseudo-objective opinions such as "awful" obviously is too full of themselves to really appreciate music. It's great you think you can make something like this without trying. Maybe you should. My favorite proof from you as to why this song's awful is that it has no vocals. Are you kidding me?
