I have been a Dresdner Kreuzchor fan ever since receiving an old LP entitled "Nach gruenen Farb' mein Herz erlangt" from my East German penpal back in the mid-60's. Brilliant!

Die Frauenkirche als Bühne! Schade, dass mein Stimmbruch schon 30 Jährchen zurückliegt, wer hätte da nicht gern im Chor gesungen.

An einer dritten Staffel der Doku über den Kreuzchor wird immer noch gearbeitet...

Ich konnte die Handynummer eines MDR-Mitarbeiters ergattern, der Angst hatte, dass sein Pkw vor der Kreuzkirche abgeschleppt werden könnte. Ich vereinbarte mit ihm, dass ich in einigen Monaten nach dem Stand der Dinge fragen könne...:)

Es wird wohl Herbst werden, bevor die neue Doku gesendet wird.

Gefilmt hat der mdr die Reise nach Dänemark im letzen Herbst, CD-Aufnahmen im Februar und beim Knabenchorfestival im Mai und sicher noch einiges mehr - man darf gespannt sein!

Nach dem Erfolg, den zwei ausgestrahlte Staffeln der Doku-Soap „Der Kreuzchor Engel, Bengel und Musik des MDR-Fernsehens erzielte, produziert die Saxonia-Entertainment im Auftrag des MDR seit August nun eine dritte Staffel. Im Mittelpunkt der voraussichtlich sechs Folgen stehen wieder die Kruzianer:

Sieben Jungen, deren Alltag in Chor, Schule und Alumnat nachgegangen wird, repräsentieren als Protagonisten die Gesamtheit ihrer Chorgemeinschaft.

Die Ausstrahlung folgt im Sommer des kommenden Jahres. Auch diese Folgen werden wieder auf DVD im Handel erhältlich sein.

Half an hour before the concert starts the „Kruzianer" (what the members of the choir are called) arrive a second time at the „Frauenkirche" (Church of our Lady -- Dresden).

Franz (the boy with the blond hair) is no longer tired (as he was before)

Franz:

I though by myself, supper isn't that important. I should recline for a while.

woman (camera): And how are you now?

Franz: Definitely better. And I'm not that tired any more.

Franz: What's up?

Johnny( the tall blond boy): Your suit!

And without the help of teachers and educators every „Kruzianer" finds his suit by organising themselves in the choir.

Cantor of the choir Roderich Kreile is preparing himself for the concert.

Routine by dress themselves -- and if necessary, always a helping hand.

The extensive premiere programm of 25 motets starts.

It's easy to hear the voice of the leader of the sopranos -- Philip -- in the "Frauenkirche"

One and a half hours of concert were planed. In the end it was two hours.

Everybody is dead beat but also happy

Franz: Are you the last one's? (to older boys)

Another boy: Should I wait a bit longer?

Franz: No.

Two hours ago Franz was still tired -- and now a big approval from the cantor Roderich Kreile. For him Franz was at the top of his form.
