I would KILL to see them live. Especially this song. They usually bring out 2-3 drummers and anywhere from 4-8 guitarists. Then, they destroy everything in sight and casually walk off stage. Classic Jesse Lacey. They don't call him a God for nothing!

Every time the song builds on one more piece my breath is taken. They had to stop it at 3:06 simply because after the distorted guitar came in, after the bass, after the change in pace, after the drums with the snare that echoes into eternity, after the screeching guitar, after the screams of anguish, the next step to make the song more unimaginably amazing would cause us to spontaneously combust.

What I love about Brand New is they have a brand new sound on each album they release.... They could categorize themselves in several genres and still sound ridiculously good whether it's screaming or acoustic. The emotion in Jesse's voice definitely gives them a unique feel..but this song didn't even need lyrics to show the intensity of this band...gaahhh...

I think Brand new has some amazing emotional moments in there songs. Seriously I love them. The best ones are where it is quiet and then suddenly it is really loud. This song has that moment and also Luca has that moment when he screams Where you been.

I get chills every time I hear these guys because I can literally feel the emotion they put into these songs. Favorite album is this one because of how much I can relate to everything they say.

I agree, the entire album is so obscure and emotional that I really had to give it time to grow on me. Yes, it's imaginative and a completely new sound that is absolutely amazing, but I think the differences are hard to fall in love with at first.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and by definition of opinion there is no way to mark someone's as either right or wrong. However, those of you that felt this album needed to grow on them, you are all wrong. Also the people saying it isn't as good because it doesn't have lyrics, you're opinions are wrong to.

OK, I'm about 85% positive there are hidden lyrics throughout the last half of the song. It's so faint that it kinda merges with the song's EPIC ending. If they aren't lyrics, I'm 15% guessing that it could be screaming.

Either way, I love researching songs with deeper layers (or lyrics as here)

An example of another song with a hidden lyric layer is 'Sway' by Lostprophets. It was so obscure it took me months to find.

No one has written a comment yet so I guess I will... it is an amazing song with a unique character. This album is great, I love every song in it. The strange thing is, you sort of have to grow to like some songs. But they all are great. For example, the first time I heard Luca I though it was ok, now I like it. Some songs are in a class of their own, like The Archer's Bows Have Broken. And some are sort of a comfort song to me, like this one. ^^
