I honestly think it's unnecessary and, frankly, disrespectful to compare musicians and place one above the other in terms of quality. I'm not chewing you guys out, I love Conor Oberst and John Mayer, but they're not in competition because music is not a competition.

im not saying that john mayer doesnt write well. personally i just think that conor oberst is a better lyricist mostly because he writes more politically than john mayer. conors lyrics are more meaningful in the world that we live in right now
