  • wtf ?! @ 0:06

  • he wasnt even 6'6 yet

  • Damn, MJ was skinny. I think a high school Lebron and a High school kobe would obliterate a college Jordan but a Pro Jordan would wipe the fucking floor with a pro kobe and Lebron on the same team!

  • USA! USA! USA! MJ! MJ! MJ! MJSA!

  • young mike!!

  • 6'5", eh? I guess he still hadn't reached his full height (6'6") yet. He must've been a late bloomer physically. He entered college at 6'3" and was skinny as a rail until he was in his late 20's. Kind of interesting when you compare him to Kobe and Lebron, the only two modern players who even approach him from a talent perspective. Both of those guys were their full grown height by their senior year of high school and both of those guys looked like full-grown men even then.

  • wheres the D wtf!

  • How dare they not give him the number 23?

  • @Xle19xAB

    Barkley was wearing n#7...so what??

(you can see him on this video but didn´t make the 1984 olympics: he was waived by Bobby Knight...)

  • @monQsurlaKomod You missed the sarcasm..

  • @Xle19xAB for sure.

  • You could tell Jordan was ahead of his time in 1984. He is like Neo of the Matrix, he could see the code lol.

  • Jordan with hair!

  • This was the team USA tryouts from 1984.

  • a 6"5 junior. wow, i wish i could be that tall and own at basketball.

  • I think his heught in this year was around 6'3, he was really skinny too

  • @youutoobe you mean kevin durant looks like him

  • looks like kevin durant..

  • @gabbesp1995 I was just gonna write that myself. Instead I'll say that maybe there is hope for KD to be solidly filled out with a good weight program like MJ.

  • Jordan looked ALOT like KD in his younger years

  • ha even then he carried the ball Lmao

  • @binka21 I didn't see a carry

  • @BREW343812 it was right after the first dribble. don't get me wrong, Jordan is the man, but he seemed to carry alot.

  • he didnt carry the ball.

  • they probably retired number 53 at the local gasstation over there

  • Somebody feed that youngster wearing 53!

  • Jordan is 6'6= (198cm)

so you want to tell me that he grew a CM higher after the age of 18?

    rare, isn't it?

  • @adamdyerseve There is a big confusion about height of the NBA players. For example I remember that in the Barcelona all members of The Dream Team were listed an inch shorter than they were listed in NBA. So... all we can do is guess.

  • @adamdyerseve The average age guys stop growing is around 18 but its not uncommon for them to grow some after that. My brother grew two inches when he was 19

  • @szaret1 Or they listed closer to his actual height. Never met the guy, but I heard him, along with Barkley were both more like 6-4.5 to 6-5...NBA, they overexaggerate their height sometimes.

  • @CLewey44 I hear that alot, and it is sort of true: there are many players whose heights are given with their shoes on. I've seen Barkley in sandals, and trust me he's easily taller than 6'4" guys. Likely 6'6". Jordan was no shorter than 6'6" himself - barefoot.

  • @jagemobe

No I think MJ is actually closer to 6' 5" without shoes but why would that be the way they measured height in the NBA if you play basketball in shoes? So it honestly makes sense to add that inch or so

  • @PatrickEganLong Well that's the problem, isn't it? "Thinking" lol. I've seen Barkley in Los Angeles at a charity event; he was in sandals with a visor on, and was 6'5" or taller. Jordan is a shade taller than Barkley. It might "make sense" to you that they add that inch, but this hardly means they always do it. Many players are measured barefoot; many are measured with shoes on. I dont know why they do this; but I do know that they do.

  • @jagemobe

I mean you might have seen him but that doesn't mean you measured him correctly... with only your eyes...

not to mention sandals add height..maybe not as much as sneakers but they undeniably do

  • number 53 ?!

  • O.o look how skinny his legs were...it looks like hes about to break his left leg when he ran to get the ball at 0:06

  • @SogeKingXXIII LoL but keep in mind those skinny legs would launch him from the free throw line to win a couple dunk contests and label him AIR JORDAN

  • no 3 point line?

  • @rrevamuntan Yeah no 3 point line. The 3 point line didn't come into College or the Olypmics for a couple more years.

  • Ball was played from behind the 3 line it only took 3 dribbles to get to the basket.. He made the basket and the foul 3 points... What does this mean? nothing.

  • he had not perfected his game yet at that time

  • Look @ a young MJ!!

  • This was when there used to be basketball tryouts for the Olympic team! Things were not as easy as they are now.

  • @jimboedwardlee this was also when the national team came from college players and not pro players.

  • Jordan with Adidas Forum!

  • @treboltenerife INCREIBLE JAJAJAJA

  • Assembly HALL!!!

  • wow

    rare.

  • Weird. 53? Really? Never knew about this. I know he wore 12 in a game against the Magic because someone stole his jersey out of his locker.

Motherfuckers always stealing shit from MJ.

  • i never knew about 53 either, weird

  • He has got #53, bec. his bag was stolen in plane. It was in his biography, and movie come fly with me.

  • THey had jordan listed 6'5 he was really more like 6'4 they say. NBA listed at 6'6 may have grown a little who knows.

  • 6'4?? look at him beside ahmad rashad and steve kerr, both 6'3 and the difference is just 1 inch? not to mention 6'4 players like payton, kidd.

  • nba always over list there players. especially if they are smaller. Kerr was probubly 6'2 dn payton ive been next to both they arnt 6'4 as well as kid.

  • err, no. i've seen retired players such as hard tim hardaway with some local players here, they were both listed at 6'1 and they have same height. the only player i think that's not really 6 is allen iverson. jordan is really 6'6 take a look at him next to kobe bryant, or reggie miller and clyde drexler who are both an inch taller. jordan's hands even belong to a player of 6'10 size

  • @libetta he's got bigger hands than most 7 footers, that's what helped make him so great

  • @SFO14

yeah, close to o'neal i guess. you've seen him before?

  • @libetta I checked out a book about MJ and it had a full spread across 2 pages with life size image of his hands...I'm about 7 feet myself, with "normal" sized hands, and his fingers were longer than mine. the palms were about the same, but his fingers were ridiculously long.

  • @SFO14

omg, are you a basketball player??? can't believe i'm talking to a 7 footer now lol. is that the Driven from within book? he had about 2 inches on my hands i thought his palm were so big

  • hahah the way he spins is totally different from the way he played in the nba...but the finish was good though..

  • he couldnt completely spin because theres was that other guy who was coming in from his left, pretty much still the same moves

  • yeah that was a pretty slow spin...lol

  • Looks weird in number 53, but it's not the number but the skills behind it...

  • GOAT§§

  • Wow, #53?

  • You can't carry on a spin move because by then you've made up your mind that your going to shoot.

  • jordan only cares if they win,it's about competing and winning with mj,ask larry.

  • hek...no 3pt line yet...this could be around in '84...

  • @jenkin2330 This was played on a college floor. College basketball did not establish the 3 point line until 1986.

  • @jenkin2330 it is. this is the usa team he played on the year before he was drafted. bobby knight coached this team.

  • Still the greatest.

  • I have this game, as well as the 1984 Gold medal game vs Spain where MJ just DOMINATED..

  • Oh damn!!!. Rare as hell. stuff like this makes my heart jump out of my chest. MJ for life.

  • Rare as heck. Man, good stuff my good friend!

  • Wow, very rare -- Olympic trials, right? I think MJ was 20 or 21 here.

  • he was 21.

  • Oh my god, that really is rare. CAn you upload more from that game?

  • Go Mike!
