  • Do you have "Armatae Face et Anguibus"?

  • BRAVOOO

  • VIVALDI"S MUSIC IS PURE ROCK AND METAL MUSIC.ACTUALLY HE IS ONE OF THE GRANDGRANDFATHERS OF METAL.I LOVE HIM

  • @darkvoid132 Vivaldi and every other great composer would likely find metal curious at best, though nothing of value. If the contemporaries of Schumann, for example, found his music to be questionable, they would find metal entirely vile.

There are few similarities to this music and your metal music, to be honest. Basically all metal lacks the true tonal complexity of the music of the past, not to mention anything of developmental, contrapuntal, harmonic, or intellectual value.

  • al link che hai pubblicato

l'aria è di Holofernes e non di Giuditta

Titolo dell’aria di Holofernes (Pars Prior, n. 19): Agitata infidu flatu.

  • magdelena owns this aria...i cant explain it but her version is the best....

  • thanks for the upload :)

  • i loveeee kozenaa!!! she is so kiut like a bear soo tenderr she s adorable

  • I do not understand how Vivaldi is so badly appreciated by composers and audience...Stravinsky considered Vivaldi 'a dull fellow'.

Vivaldi was a pioneer of orchestral music....even the great Bach studied and rearranged his music

  • Actually, I've found from personal experiance that audiences are very accepting of his music. If Vivaldi is in the program, I always note the number of people saying "Oh I loved the Vivaldi". I bet you more people listen to and love Vivaldi more than Stravinsky. I think the lack of respect you speak of probably comes from the more pretentious classical music fans (like the Bach-olytes and modernists) and certain modern composers due to the simplicity of his music.

  • @HARMONICO101 ,I think you summed it up well. It really seems strange that artists like Stravinsky or modernists speak badly of an important master of music. I mean ,they surely are not ignorant or anything ,but it's really perplexing that they regard him as insignificant. If they said 'Vivaldi's style too simple for my taste', then ok, it's a preference. But trying to devalue Vivaldi as a 'dull fellow' seems very unfair and unintelligent...it does not indicate insight, only self-conceitedness

  • @luigiperso

I agree with you. I don´t understand it neither. those reactions sound to me very pretentions. something that happens very often in pop music

  • Gorgeous!

  • I love you, I love you, I love you! Please marry me, and sing for me all day long?

  • My only qualm with Montis Regalis version of Juditha is a technical issue. I think the recording is too much echoed.

  • No Comment... perfect performence, great voice and coloratura,... awesome...

  • Thanks for posting))

  • I'm am OBSESSED with this music! It's beautiful....

  • Io d'amore, oh dio! mi moro,

e mi niega il mio tiranno

    anche il misero ristoro

    di lagnarmi e poi morir.

    Che costava a quel crudele

    l'ascoltar le mie querele,

    e donare a tanto affanno

    qualche tenero sospir!

  • Thanks for posting.

Upon further investigation I have found that this is actually Holofernes's aria

  • nice mucic!

  • Gorgeous!!!!!!

  • I was curious why this video was listed among the "Related Videos" for my video of three young barn swallows. I discovered it's the word 'hirundo' that is in the lyrics of this aria. The Latin name for a barn swallow (which I listed in the tags) is 'hirundo rustica'.

  • Haha :) I hope you weren't disappoited with my video. Just kidding.. I've learned something at least. But apparently our vids are no longer related. YouTube does that in the first hours of upload. Totally irrelevant videos can be related to yours for a while. I just checked your videos. They are really adorable.

  • La miglior Giudtta.

  • Sequences and sequences.

  • yes, but still catchy

  • I'm telling you, Vivaldi is the first rock and roller, not Elvis.

  • thats true, he was famous at his time for the ferocious passion with which he conducted orquestra, they nicknamed him "antonio fa presto"

  • I totally agree with you on that!

  • The sequences he uses in his music play a huge part in how good his music sounds, and how catchy and addicting it is.

  • The audio quality of this video gives a very poor idea of the stunning tonal design of this aria. You might want to listen to an actual recording. But since you are so visibly bored in your superiority by this kind of music, I shall not urge you any further.

  • I dream of a traduction in French...For the text ! Love this music !

  • "I dream of a traduction in French...For the text !" Is Latin really so hard to learn?

  • i love vivaldi +__+

  • THe more I listen to Kozena's singing, the more I like her choice: barroque music. She was definitly born for this repertoire..

  • Wow. Kožená has a very distinctive voice (a compliment...) But she looks quite old now, even though she is only 37.

    NICE VOICE

  • this aria is amazing Where I can get the scores ? or can you borrow me the scores?

  • I added the link to the video description.. Yes it is a beautiful aria..

  • thank you so much now I have the score

  • Love this aria! Kozena's voice is sooooooo sweet!

  • thx for your posting!
