  • she should have gone & saved Anne Frank o.o

  • We watched thiss in social studiess;p I was sick the day we were going to watch the resttttt:( Idk what happend nextt

  • 2:10 my mom cutting her hair :)

  • :********(

  • I notice a lot of comments on this vid are from kids in school that apparently have to watch this film in school. I'm almost 50 and I've been reading and watching video about the Holocaust since about the second grade. Keep in mind that all this stuff happened almost 70 years ago, before I was even born. There are very few people still alive that had anything to do with it. It was certainly very bad, but it was also a long time ago.

  • @clintonearlwalker , 70 Years ago is not a long time ago, & we must make sure that this never happens again. Israel must survive. & so is every nation that loves life.

  • @aTime4UandMe The thing is that many kids watch these type of movies and comment on them like it's some type thing that is happening to them. Anne Frank has been dead and gone for 70 years along with her sister Margot, and about 6 million other people. There are many other things happening today that affect their lives much more than the Nazi Holocaust. 70 years is a very long time ago. There are many problems today that will be far more important to school kids in the future than the Nazi's

  • These kinds of movies are so hard to watch. I only looked it up because I saw half of it long ago. I couldn't watch the whole thing though.

  • What school do u go to I go to arc

  • The movie was very sad. The book was good too, but we watched this movie in school and it made me cry.

  • OMG the book is extremely 100% better. I haven't even finished reading it in schoo, i'm in 5th grade, and seriously i'm glad the teachers chose not to show this to us. Thumbs up for the book

  • this movie scared the crap out of me when i was 10

  • @zacefronobsession34 me to well the ending I remeber the most 'cuase I new she was going to the gas chambers. I actualy made an excuse to go to the bathroom during that scene. That's actualy what I normaly do when being forced to watch a scene in a movie at school that I think may be scarry. Seriusly I was like 10 or 11 when I watched this too. Scaring for life geeez stupid cariculam.

  • I had 2 watch this yesterday 4 school- it wuz Sooooo sad!!! I cried alot... Geez most of us were only eleven- do the teachers reuse that we could b scarred 4 life now?!

  • I hate how they killed Ariel...Why kill the cute guy huh?! >.<

  • we're watching this in humanities class

  • so wanna do this for my project!

  • @ihprincess1013 I'm a quarter German and honestly this makes me imbarest to be. I know it wasn't the German people I'm not racist or anything, but still. If I die and go to heaven and find out that i"m realated to a Nazi I'll find him/her and punch him/her in the face.

  • We watched this movie in class, but our priciples didn't want us to see it. It's a great movie

  • there is not gitil and here name is soppuse to be chaya when she is in poland... the book is good i looked through the cast its missing lots of the most important character

  • I'm not jewish, but I hate this one kid that hates my jewish friend. It's messed up. I think he's part German.

  • @GlobalGaming101 ...I'm part German and I don't hate Jews? Please also note that it was NOT the German people in general who persecuted the Jews. It was the government. Sure, a LOT of the German people bought into the, "Jews are bad, they should die," thing, but again, some of them didn't. It's not like they could change the laws that Jews had to wear stars/couldn't have the same rights, etc. They had to live by them. So don't think it's always Germans VS Jews.

  • I kill nazis on cod waw nazi zombies

  • wernt the 4 men who tried to escape shot?

  • @tally12671 in the book yes

  • @LoganHendersonFan1 what school did you go to

  • @LoganHendersonFan1 OMG. I will probably cry too. Tomorrow i have to watch it in school.

  • @LoganHendersonFan1 they mad us too

  • This to me is the most upsetting and horrible thing in all of history I cried when i read the book and cried when i watched the movie R.I.P those who were killed in the Holocaust we will never forget this tragic legacy

  • @xLittleprettydancer

If you want to read something equally as good as the movie "The Last Jew In Berlin" is such a book. Another very deep movie is The Pianist but the most famous is "The Diary of Anne Frank". This subject matter can not be forgotten or history will repeat itself.

  • This to me is the most upsetting and horrible thing in all of history I cried when i read the book and cried when i watched the movie R.I.P those who were killed

  • I wished they at least had Esther,Shifre,Rachel and in reality Rivka is not Chaya's cousin just saying :) I had to read it in 6th grade

  • What is the title of this sonng and is this movie too sad to watch?

  • @laurenblahblah8 Girl disappearing by Tori Amos. Its also in the description, don't know if you saw that. I didn't upon first viewing.

  • ur a dk im reading it too

  • alguien me puede decir de quien es esta cancion??

  • girl disapearing

    by: tori ?

  • @iyalordayy

    Gracias !!

  • There is no truth in this movie. Read about the real holocaust, then make a movie about it. A concentration camp it was blood, death, hunger, cruelty and bestiality. This movie is fuckin cakes and ale!

  • u guys r right!!! the book is lik a whole lot better!!!!!!

  • I like the book kinda strange going back in time and stuff but it was a really good book and the part in the book were her grandfather is putting her body in the grave gives me chills....

  • Book is a whole lot better. This doesn't have half the things in the book!!!

  • We're almost done with the book in school. We're seeing the movie on monday and tuesday. Is it good?

  • This song is Girl Dissapearing by Tori Amos.

This is one of my favorite movies. But I read the book and it is nothing alike.

  • this movie was so awazing.......kristen might of done some good movies but this has to be the best.

  • I don't know if you understand spanish but my english is some bad.

I only want to congratulate you for this beauty composition of images and music, I almost do mourn.

What song is it? I really interest in it.

    Please answer me.

  • fagg

  • @gmd96 Fuck you, how dare you say that. You don't know what went on in the Holocaust and who got killed or beaten or hurt. How dare you.

  • Brilliant movie...probably second only to Escape from Sobibor

  • i actually hate this movie. it shouldnt be called the devils arithmetic because it isnt anything like the book. first off- theyre missing half the family. they're suppose to call her Chaya when she goes back in time cuz its her hebrew name. shes only suppose 2 meet rivka when she goes to the camp, shes not her cousin, rivka worked at the camp as the person who gave them they're food. they changed the rest of the charactors names. I think the movie was cheap and not worth watching. READ THE BOOK!

  • What I really meant was the idea...Movie versions of book are always tend to be bad because when you read the book you've already created your own version of movie :) And movies also try to commercialize the book for box office. I shouldn't have said second best :)

  • I like Kirsten Dunst! why people say she died?

  • @takinnn - she didn't, brittany murphy died.

  • how could she be 13 if she drives and gets a tattoo in the beginning of the movie

  • Yeah, Didn't know Jews looked Northern European either..What an "accurate" film. *sarcasm*

  • Ah somebody is stereotyping Jews. Not every Jew has dark thick hair, tan skin, a big crooked nose and dark eyes.

  • i loved this book

  • im being forced to read it in english. i hate 7th grade

  • Say it's against your religion.

  • okay. ill try

  • in school we read this book and i read it 4 times and our whole classed cried(even the boys!!)

  • Is Rivkah her aunt in the book too?

  • In the movie, Rivka is Hannah's cousin. In the book, Rivka is a girl who befriends Hannah/Chaya who's parents and family members have all died except for her brother Wolfe, who is a Kommandos and is forced to carry the dead. Once she's back in the future, Rivka ends up being Hannah's Aunt Eva. Hannah knows by her tattoo.

  • Thanks. I did read the book by now . It was better than the movie, but the movie was nice too.

  • i luv the movie!! and the book!! and brittany murphey and everyone else in this movie were amazing!! it must of been hard to pull of the part of a nazi and a prisinor

  • Great video, and can anybody please tell me the name of this song?

  • Name of song: Tori Amos - Girl Disappearing
