Chuck was 33 when they fought the first time. He was as much in his prime as he ever was. I think Chuck's problem against Rampage was that Chuck liked to push out of the clinch and strike while his opponent was off guard. Rampage was too strong to be set up like that. He had Chuck on his heels when they fought.

It really is sad to see these guys fade away but its an evolving sport. You can only rush in swinging wildly or keeping your hands down and chin up for so long. Wand needs to retire before he gets seriously hurt.
@ufcpride93 That is like me saying if Machida never went into clinch range with Shogun he would have never been knocked out. You can't base things on "what ifs" it is what it is. Wand will never attain the glory he once had and neither will Shogun, whom I really admire. It sucks but this is just what is going to happen. Older fighters and PRIDE fighters are just going to fade away. The only exception to this rule is Anderson Silva and maybe Shogun. Jon Jones is untouchable at the moment.

@jdumars no he turned down the fight with shogun because he felt he wasn't ready for another crack at the tittle he wanted to fight once or twice more before trying for it again and i think it was a smart move on his part because he needs to work on his cardio big time he lost almost all his cardio when he was out for a year because he actually had good cardio at one point not anymore though
