How "Artistically" presented Alan**** and How i wish i understand the Language too, i like the tune, similar to a Jewish song. I was impressed at the middle of the song, when slowly your Beautiful Mother appears carrying you as a Baby, then slowly fades, followed by your Grandma at the end. This is what we call an "ART". ...Ed
People pretending to be other people make me glad to be me and this takes me somewhere else again.....I had some idea of what I meant and now I can't even rewind my keyboard as I'm too busy listening.
Fantastico !! amazing singing Alan, I first heard this song on a Planxty album, images are so good....you are a gem. Thanks Mark for the tip ;) superbe.
@nllleonard it's the song of a woman with an unfaithful husband - she chronicles what she will do to him, send him to the corner with sour milk and brown bread, and if he sticks his head out she'll take the nose off him and give the rest to the young woman! My mother claimed to speak the Irish language but I never heard her!
Thank you for sharing your beautiful artwork, Alan. You have a wonderful way of capturing the essence of the people you portray. is that you...the baby with the lovely lady? I love the song! Beautiful, liquid sounding language. Thank you for this!
