  • How "Artistically" presented Alan**** and How i wish i understand the Language too, i like the tune, similar to a Jewish song. I was impressed at the middle of the song, when slowly your Beautiful Mother appears carrying you as a Baby, then slowly fades, followed by your Grandma at the end. This is what we call an "ART". ...Ed

  • Surely you were their pride and joy! What does the song say?

  • @nllleonard it's the song of a woman with an unfaithful husband - she chronicles what she will do to him, send him to the corner with sour milk and brown bread, and if he sticks his head out she'll take the nose off him and give the rest to the young woman! My mother claimed to speak the Irish language but I never heard her!

  • Thank you for sharing your beautiful artwork, Alan. You have a wonderful way of capturing the essence of the people you portray. is that you...the baby with the lovely lady? I love the song! Beautiful, liquid sounding language. Thank you for this!

  • @nllleonard thank you Nancy! Yes that's me in my mother's arms, and then in the arms of my Grandmother at the end!
