Amazing movie, and beautiful stories, very much how the lifes of women could be in the fifties/sixties. A see a lot of similarities with the life of my grandmother who was married at the age of 20 and got children very young, without really being happy. I was just the way life went and what was expected of a young woman. My grandmother is in her seventies, and I'm in my twenties so I can relate to the story of the movie very much.

minaroar i am so sorry to say this but you must have not got the real essence of this wonderful movie. It shows women even when they were forced by society to be sole caretakers of their homes were as strong and beautiful and free as any working woman. This music is just so wonderful after fried green tomatoes and little women

this movie is so sad, it reminds me of how women didn't have much to live for.

Suprisingly, I really enjoyed this movie. I think the music had a lot to do with that. It just added that extra touch of magic.
