  • Cool Local YouTube Chanel, very informative. But I have a question about Gun registration. Let say that I buy a gun in Omaha, I live in Plattsmouth and I go to the range in LaVista passing through Bellevue and Papillion. Does it mean that I have to register the gun in Omaha, Plattsmouth, Bellevue, LaVista and Papillion?.. Thanks if someone can answer.

  • I think I found out the answer, the only city that requires registration is Omaha. But.. not sure.

  • Yes, the answer you found is correct. The only city in Nebraska that requires registration of concealable firearms is Omaha. Only residents of Omaha have to register concealable firearms. So, the easiest way to see if you need to register is look at your driver's license. If it says Plattsmouth, you do not have to register any of your firearms with Omaha.

Now, if LB 430 passes in the NE legislature, it will do away with Omaha registration. I'll email you a longer message with more detail.

  • I read the LB 430 and does make sense to get rid of the City of Omaha gun registration requirement. Specially here in the metro area where we have to drive through different cities to go to the mall, shooting range or even have lunch. Also make sense for Armed Forces to be able to carry concealed guns without being permanently registered.

Also, I don't think that most or if not all the people involved in the shootings in north Omaha or surrounding area are following the gun registration rule.

  • I'm glad there well spoken men like you that represent us. Good job and god bless.

  • a shout-out, lol
