I don't see any negatives to Obama going to Denmark for a COUPLE of days and trying to get the olympics in the USA. If you watch CNBC or Fox Business, like I have to all day long at my job, he is addressing the economy on a daily basis with reporters. He has also taken foreign policy challenges head on. The olympics would bring tons of stimulus to the US and would generate all kinds of economic interest in the US. Look at what it did for China last summer.

But, they're talking about an area along the Lake Shore and Bronzeville with low-income housing that has nothing to do with Valerie Jarrett. It's owned by a completely different company. Although I agree that Bush as you say, "fucked us up" - the fact it that it was good 'ol pres Clinton who forced, not "gave them freedom", but forced banks to lend money to assholes who really couldn't afford it. It's a risk and Americans thought they could do it. If Americans were more "conservative" - well for one thing they might not actually vote for Republicans.

Apparently Steele (and his trademark ignorance) doesn't realize all the planning that goes into hosting the Olympics. Multiple arenas and stadiums would have to be built. Since these take years to build, there would most definitely be immediate job creation if Chicago won the bid. I'm not sure if Michael Steele is actually too stupid to realize this, or if he's just saying it would take 7 years to create jobs disingenuously.

I don't see any negatives to Obama going to Denmark for a COUPLE of days and trying to get the olympics in the USA. If you watch CNBC or Fox Business, like I have to all day long at my job, he is addressing the economy on a daily basis with reporters. He has also taken foreign policy challenges head on. The olympics would bring tons of stimulus to the US and would generate all kinds of economic interest in the US. Look at what it did for China last summer.
