I can't count how many times I've seen this ad -- and never noticed the dragon-shape in the mist (0:42-0:44) b4. Which just happens to appear right before hot (literally: sweaty) little drummer-girl stops for 3/4 of a second & says "whew."

They wouldn't spend the $ on that (CGI was way more expensive just a few years ago) unless they knew it'd pay off (from focus-group tests etc).

So I wonder how many more people bought an Eclipse bcs of a 1 1/2-second shot of a subliminal dragon?

Car, what car? All I ever retained from this commercial was the really awesome drumming. Loved the commercial but I never could remember the car in it.

The commercial that sold my hubby on the 06, and being a Second Gen DSMer, It sold me too (although I havn't gotten one). Brilliant Advertising as always, my one complaint is the lack of an AWD Platform. But Commercial wise, this was just absolutly brilliant!

This is a Taiko commercial. After watching the video, I have no idea about the car.

this commercial is tight. it had 10 drummers total, 7 from ucla kyodo taiko, 2 from taikoproject and 1 from koshin taiko. i wish it showed more drumming though.

Wonderful! I remember this commercial! Such awesome music. I think it's funny that all the girls are beautiful! Mitshbishi definetly got the formula right. Nice car, beautiful girls, great music!

It's japanese taiko drumming, good luck. I saw some live in montreal. it was CRAZY. plus they invited a bunch of people to do a simple choreography on stage! Best thing all summer!
