i need to restore my computer and have all my recovery cd's i tried doing it last night but it didnt go very well.. thank god i didnt FUBAR my computer and it was fine the next morning.. i went to best buy and they wanted to charge me 120.00! can someone pls help me! i have a 2008 HP Pavilion with geek squad recovery disks.. pls inbox me on here asap cause i want to get this done tonight. =]

how do you restore beyond 3 days back?, my vista only shows restore dates going back 3-5 days, it's useless, can I restore to 30 days back??

@ndragonil hey man, just boot your computer in safe mode. Do this by pressing f8 when you re-boot your computer, here you can insert your disk, or manually system restore your computer when you're in safe mode! I'm not positive this will work, but it has a good chance. Goodluck!

@Beechmiester90 yea, theres a button you are suppose to press after you restart your computer and it will do a complete factory restore as if it just came out of the factory. a lot of people think that all your files are saved someplace on your computer no matter what happens itll be on your computer, but they are wrong. If you do a factory restore it completely gets rid of everything, downloads, notes, file, music games and even viruses / trojans. check google for factory restore instructions.

try to restore your system to an ealier date. think of the last time that it was working fine and restore it to that point.
