I wish I hadn't found out the truth behind this record. It's done badly on purpose. Some singer and engineer had time leftover in a recording studio and decided to have fun. They dug through the studio's tapes and played back some songs, adding new vocals, done badly on purpose. I heard the whole album and I recognized some of the tracks' music from other records by other artists of the late 60s.
@JhonathanFree Because this record is over-rated as being the worst, when there are tons of other bad kitschy records, waiting to be discovered or re-discovered, that deserve that title. My apologies if I "blew it" for anyone.
This is pretty funny! Did Madame St. Onge take a massive dose of crack before she or he recorded this song? Now I know why Rick Dee's "Disco Duck" and Starland Vocal Band's "Afternoon Delight" went to #1 back in 1976.
I think Edith Piaf can rest easy in her grave. Madame St. Onge gives the word "remarkable" new dimension and meaning. Still, one hasn't encountered the full scope of her artistry until one has heard her rendition of the Beatles' classic, "Help." Let's just say it's beyond remarkable.
She's a French take-off on Mrs. Miller. I originally heard of her thru UBUWEB's 365 Days Project. This entire album can be found on WFMU's Beware of the Blog. She also does a hilarious version of The Beatles "Help!"
This is an early recording of Beyonce without AutoTune.

The sound of kidney failure on cocaine? It's strangely endearing.

That is the most romantic thing I've ever heard in my entire life. It's going in my favorites, and there it will probably stay.
Puts people like Leonard Cohen & Bob Dylan into perspective. Thank you, Mme St. Onge, whoever you are!
