If they are the 'best' you would think they would have some better venue to have a graduation ceremony. The basic trooper is just a glorified traffic cop.Rides up & down the highway running radar, stopping cars& doing disabled cars, accidents, writing tickets. How is doing that the "best"? in maine the state police do more than just patrol i95. state troopers patrol some towns as in maine there is an option of sheriffs, municipal police and state police to patrol your town. they also run all swat for the state of maine. there way more than traffic cops

jaktigmidlinx.....you are either a criminal thug yourself or you couldn't make it as a trooper somewhere....the FBI is great however most state police agencies have a special investigations group that enforces organized crime...you should have a little more knowledge about a topic before you comment on it

hmm ok, thats great but i dont think we need more cops with criminal justice and psycology degrees. thats great you can fire a glock really fast and accurate, real criminals are not going waste their time with petty crimes, or get their hands dirty. this isnt the wild wild west anymore. they are going to use the internet, computers, programming, chemistry and engeneering to their advantage. this is why any sort of organized crime can only be really challenged by the FBI.
well first of all you needa shut up. my uncle died as a massachusets state police officer persuing a murder victim. they do great for this country. they assist other stations,have detective agencies ect
