And another thing....it's nice to see the president reading from paper rather than a teleprompter. I realize technology is convenient and wonderful, but there is something classic about these images that I cannot fully describe.

Watching these glorious old films is like watching footage of a political process from a foreign nation in comparison to the dog and pony shows of today. No substance just show biz........these are marvelous and sad, yes. Thank you for posting so very much! :-)

Sure is different than State of the Union addresses of recent years when the president's speech is frequently interrupted by applause.

its so sad to listen to this and hear JFK speak so passionately all the while who knows how many there at that state of union in the government are thinking "Help others?! How the hell are we suppose to get rich from THAT!?"
