  • i love 'shine on you crazy diamond'

  • Great feeling!

    Nice greets

    Uli

  • Ah this is great..I listened to a bunch of your recent tracks and found it hard to hear feeling so pyrotechnical were the displays..and here it is all about feeling....I know how great a player you are it is just a caution not to let the allure of hyper-technicality take over emotional intensity..there are hundreds of speed wizards out there and I think that you have way too much talent to let yourself fall into this category.

  • He's a Joe Bonamassaesque

  • Great playing and great tone but man, get some fibre in your diet! You look like you are trying to shit but can't! I'm not hating, would love the playing skills just not the guitar face!

  • @TEMPA01 Playing guitar is like having sex, sometimes it just feels so good that you can't help but look stupid

  • Can you say 'Shine On You Crazy Diamond'?

Gilmore never played runs that fast though.

  • Maybe its just my ear...I can hear alot of Gary Moore in this kids playing.

  • one of my fav. young guitar pickers right here

  • this guy is really good. Back in my day (1973 I was 13), if you played like this ,you would have been viewed as some kind of god.

  • @heidegger101 That is absolutely true, this kid is very soulful in his playing. On the other hand,he can rip a solo that will melt your face off and frighten small children ;/

  • hahaha look at his face it looks like he is going to cry! :D

    Awesome guitar playing man!

  • 1:20 O_O fucjin' great sound!!!

  • omg hes got skills!

  • TIP TOP!

  • I like cleanly executed melodic patterns as much as the next guy, but what really reached me emotionally was his slow and expressive playing. Terry Syrek was right...great melodies, bending, and vibrato are where the magic is.

  • very cool! is this guitar a schecter? i really want to have this sound! what's the gear behind this sound?

  • No, it's a Godin Redline.

  • Sam, just to make sure you know what lick I'm talking about, it starts at 1:21 on this video, thanks man!

  • Awesome Sam! Can you tell me what that decending zakk wylde sounding lick you do? It looks like it's off of the E and B STRINGS...I LOVE THE SOUND OF THAT LICK DUDE! I've seen you do it in a lot of your videos...a breakdown would be awsome bro! Take care, Shred.

  • David Guilmour and Gary moore influence :D ! Awesome :)

  • speed chops nicely put bro!...

  • you have fantastic technique perfect control on everything i heard congratulations.Butwhat usually dissapoints me is,why dont you try putting all that soul into your playing, and try getting away from your inspirations try something different.you have got what is needed.I think you should listen to jeff beck, songs like suspension,or where were you,im not saying to play like that but to open your mind on different musical styles.

  • simply B E A U T I F U L !

  • Yes top playing from a good musician.

  • like this very much! can hear some Gary Moore's influence too!

    Awesome Sam!

  • Kool!

  • Great bloody sound!!

  • 1:21 - 1:25 is very Eric Johnson! I love how you've got pieces of almost every style and technique in such a short solo, amazing!

  • i put this one instantly to my list of favorites ! Tons of feeling and good tone.

    Please put more.

  • Great sound and playing...I luv the intense feeling you put into the notes...play on brother...

  • clean and expressive

  • Sproing!

  • very nice feel

  • 1.21 to 1.25...this is going around maybe from the likes of zak wylde.....sweeet

  • whos this beast ....those are some ripping lines mang !

  • Some very tasty licks and great tone / technique.

  • nice playing :)

  • amazing!!

  • Love the love child comment...

This is an excellent video Sam...I have this BT and I practice to it all the time, but I have a hard time with the slower BPM. I'm gonna watch this one a bunch off times.

  • So paul gilbert and gary moore did have a love child after all!

  • Sammy C is the most promising new talent on you tube. What an all rounder with a gift for many genres.

  • Wow someone who can finally hold a candle to GG!!!!

  • eh you've never heard Alex Hutchings?

  • Comment removed

  • I can physically carry a candle to Guthrie does that count? xD

  • not in a thousand years could this guy do that

  • wow

    incredible !!!

  • nice playing....

we're waiting for your next video sam...

    one isn't enough..

  • sounds like "shine on you crazy diamond" by pink floyd :D

  • It lacks Gary high notes phrases.

He stays too long in medium & bass notes.

It lacks expressions at high notes.

    But good prestation.

  • this guy's got some nice phrasing! awesome

  • @Jinskee I have a question for you. What do you guys mean when you speak of phrasing in regards to guitar playing? I hear this term alot and don't really understand it. thanks

  • @OddManOut13 Phrasing doesn't just apply to guitar...it essentially means note choice. If someone puts in well timed "blue" notes or chromatic licks for example, some might say he has good phrasing. It's pretty broad. Even following chord changes with the corresponding modes might incline someone to say: "nice phrasing." If it flows and you like the sound, it wouldn't be inappropriate to compliment their "phrasing." :)

  • @thehighlander9999 so, in drumming terms that I understand, it would be like a well placed, and unexpected accent or fill of sorts. I gotcha....thanks!

  • @thehighlander9999 dude thats bullshit... what about picking notes soft or hard, with rake; different ways of doing vibrato; slides; bends etc...

  • @oscarsstuff If you do it tastefully, it's good phrasing also...sometimes the song calls for a bend instead of a slide - someone who has good phrasing will recognize that. I honestly don't understand what you're debating.

  • @thehighlander9999 well when a song calls for a bend and a guitarist does something else and it sounds cool - thats good phrasing imo.

  • @oscarsstuff I'm not arguing that...I'm not arguing anything. I was simply trying to define what "good phrasing" means. I think we are in agreeance: phrasing is good when it sounds good...simple as that.

  • @thehighlander9999 yeah :)

  • sams an amazing guitar player, you should definitely get some of his solos in a package on your site,i'd buy it for sure.
