I'm just starting out with my SAR team as my first year in college... The adviser of the team is was formerly in the RAF himself. I'm still learning but its one of the things I'm truly proud of getting into. Keep up the great work folks!

I've been told by someone at work to come on here to look at some rescue videos. I do believe I am in the door after 46 secs. Amazing what you find on the internet-some of the 'chatter' is me too. All I need to do now is work out who took the film ;-)
A-Ha! 131. Some of the footage was shot at "Rumbling Kern" just north of Boulmer(1:16) and the house in the background was featured on "Distance shores" which starred Peter Davidson.I live local to these yellow birds and love to see them.Nice to hear some intercom chatter mixed in the video too :)
Tip:Slow the sutter speed and rotors will look better!

Lads and Lassies, everyone always say's the reds are the elite of the RAF,I think this video proves otherwise.
This video should be used as a recruitment video,to show what that RAF has other uses other than what you see at airshows and on the news.

Hello everyone,
I don't know if this is true, and I hope it isnt, but isn't there a rumour that SAR is going private? by 2012? or some time around that?
I would really like to do SAR, preferably WSO winchman/operator, so any extra infomation would be much appreciated. Thanks.
