There is a movie about them, Love Story, recently out on DVD,
Baby Lemonade, who played with Arthur for years, are touring the UK in the Autumn. They'll be doing some Love stuff, should be great. I'd put the URL of their site but its not allowed so Google them if you want to know more!
Few people know the true meaning of "Forever Changes." It's not some hippie mantra. It's Arthur's sardonic humor. He told me he was breaking up with some girl and she started sobbing "You swore you'd love me forever!" Arthur replied "Yeah, well you know how it is, 'Forever' changes."
jazmaan, ha, ha, thanks for sharing this story. I'd never heard it. Reminds me of one of Dwight Yoakam's songs on his "A Long Way Home" album. "Things Change".....Baby, things change.
Well Josepolo950, You know us Jose`...we all must be thinking like that! I sure am grateful though, I didn`t get a reply from one of my more outlandish comments from 2 or 3 months back! Now go check the movie section, and find out if there`s any Love movies out this week in the theaters...I want to know if there is any as well!
of Joe`s Outlandish Remarks" club too, are ya? I`d join as well, but I`m afraid I`d have to hit myself over the head with it once I did! But, then again, if Love is coming, maybe it would all be worth it! What a pleasant thought... to give to a sorehead!
I really think that "Forever Changes" is the best psychedelic album of all times.
Every track on the album is great, with great lyrics and interesting chord changes.
The tone of the album is upbeat generally without being hippy dippy or cloying and the record is free of love child chiches that tend to date many albums of the period.
Currently my favorite track is "Old Man" which is certainly one of Bryan's greatest tunes with its winding melody and philosophical tone.
it might sound dated because right now whats in fashion is crap emo depressing music. i mean i dont have anything againts good depressed music if its sincere but joy, happiness wonder or just tranquility are valid human emotions as well.
i really dont see it too psychedelic though. the best psychedelia from the sixties is pink floyd first album, sgt peppers, the soft machine, jefferson airplane, os mutantes etc. Love was more like good semi orchestrated pop.
Strange representation of this album you made here. A random selection of songs just slapped together out of their intended order, and two of them aren't even Forever Changes songs: You And Your Mind Belong Together and (Sure, they might have been included as "CD bonus tracks" but they are not proper Forever Changes songs.) The track sequencing on the album is masterful and should not be shuffled around and mixed up with songs that don't belong. Also, "Andmoreagain" is a single word.
Argh, typo and my browser froze while posting and lost some of the text. Middle part should say "Your Mind and We Belong Together and Laughing Stock" are not proper Forever Changes songs.
Thanks for this video. Forever Changes by Love is one of my all-time favorite albums. Takes me back to my days in the Air Force in the late '60s when I played cards, drank beer, and listened to great albums of the day with my friends. Love was great, really great.
append the url with &fmt=18 (then enter or reload) to enjoy better video and stereo!
