You can save that marine. When you are coming in the building, before you see the marine, throw a frag grenade where the marine would be. Hopefully, once you see the marine, the flood would be killed by the explosion.

This sounds weird but right after Johnson's death, a clone of johnson was fighting with me and he wasn't invincible. The flood got him and thus making another death 4 him( I blew his head off after he mutated and attacked me haha)
