  • 5:09 looks like theyre carrying a giant dooby.

  • DONT go to the london olimpics 2012, seriously something bad is going to happen. a false flag terror attack will happen during the games

  • "I recognize sports for what they are- it's a goddamn hobby." - Stefan Brilliant Molyneux. Yes "brilliant" should be your middlename.

  • thats what I always thought after someone won and theyre always always so happy with themself thanking everyone close to them parents trainer the whole shebang except for the biggest financer of it all

  • you should make a video about celebrities.

  • People just seem to watch the olympics to gamble their country's ego. Nobody cares about the sports - they just want to see their country "win" in front of other "countries". It's ridiculous.

  • I try so hard stef, I mean so hard to surround myself with people like you and marc stevens, but everywhere I look is stupid people.

You should talk to Marc Cuban about buying a news organization with you, marc stevens, jim davies and all the root strikers.

    Now that would be news.

  • I LOVED, LOVED, the "call me"!

  • Just another symptom of the disease. Great work as always, thanks!

  • Whoa. I think it's a bit much to blame any poverty or job loss on the olympics. It's true that these things are paid for by the common man, but in the same way each nation competes in these games. We all compete for cash, and prizes in the real world. That's why we take out loans, and go to college. It's all a competition. I hope my kids are talented enough to not need me to help them get wealthy, and stay that way.

  • You don't have a choice in paying for the olympics or if you wish to host them, the peasantry are not allowed to make such important decisions but they sure can foot the biil.

  • this doesnt heavily have to do with the main content of this video, but what is the difference between mercantilism and capitalism anyway?

  • that would be nice to hear, an athlete thanking the taxpayer of course, their conscience would always bother them, if they ever stopped to ponder that!

  • The IOC is an elitist, taxpayer funded group of cocktail swilling, old money near-do wells that use amateur athletes to raise money to support the life style to which the IOC has come so accustomed. The games have, over the years, morphed into an orgy of corporate sociopaths sucking on the public teat. With that green mothers milk, they pay marketing executives to come up with the "Eh, Oh, Go Canada Go"phrase for us mindless drones to cheer at the hockey games, that nobody can get tickets for.

  • Chomsky? that would be an interesting debate.

  • Most of our species is brain washed, they wouldn't be able to think beyond their t.v sets and there favorite cable news talk show. They protest without knowing the real issues from there foundation, or who's really pulling the strings. They get feed travail nonsense disguised as top hide-lines and eat it up hook line and sinker. Most ppl don't know the history behind modern day "Sports", and how it wasn't a mere coincidence for it to be used as the greatest tool of distraction for the masses.

  • True!

  • Chomsky remark = highlight of my day

  • The sex trade is a leech that attaches to the olypmic games involving organized crime both official and underworld. Do some research.

  • Sports are a great activity and can be such great fun with friends and/or family. But it aboslutely disgusts me that we put athletes on a pedestal, like demi-gods, some of them get millions a year in revenue to play with a ball or a stick, while the fireman or paramedic who might save your life gets pennies compared to that. Most olympians do come from well off families or get lots of taxpayer money, so true that none of them ever thank the poor paying for it.

  • Agree or disagree, I think he's got a point.

  • Queen Elizabeth II is the legal owner of one sixth of the land on the Earth's surface, more than any other individual or nation. This amounts to a total of 6.6 billion acres (27 million km²) in 32 countries.

37.5% of the Earth is owned by 147 states.

21% of the Earth is owned by 26 people.

41% of the Earth is owned by 1% or less of the population on Earth.

85% of the Earth's population own nothing.

  • @hplaserjet2001 I laugh when stuck up british punks brag about how much more advanced and progressive than we are, even though they have a queen in the 21st century!

  • yes, it is an oxymoron isn't it?

  • astounding facts!

  • Sad, but true.

"If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their money, first by inflation and then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around them (around the banks), will deprive the people of their property until their children will wake up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered." -Thomas Jefferson

  • The Canadian government has a choice and can borrow interest free money from the Bank of Canada. The Bank of Canada can offer provincial and municipal governments funding at rates that are well below private bank rates.

All G-8 countries, on behalf of their citizens, borrow as debt at substantial interest from private banks. More than half of your income tax dollars service the interest on the debt.

  • @hplaserjet2001

I don't agree with some of your comments, however I do agree this Olympic farce is going to ruin the economy of this province for decades to come.

  • Part 1: "The modern banking system manufactures money out of nothing. The process is perhaps the most astounding piece of sleight of hand that was ever invented. Banking was conceived in iniquity and was born in sin. The Bankers own the earth. Take it away from them, but leave them the power to create money and control credit, and with the flick of the pen they will create enough deposits to buy it all back again... -Sir Josiah Stamp, Director, Bank of England, 1920s

  • Part 2: ...However, take this great power away from them, and all the great fortunes like mine disappear, and they ought to disappear, for this would be a happier and better world to live in. But, if you wish to remain the slaves of Bankers and pay the cost of your own slavery, let them continue to create money and control credit." -Sir Josiah Stamp, Director, Bank of England, 1920s

  • In just three years (2007-2009), all federal debt repayment in Canada since 1997 was wiped-out.

The Bank of Canada creates 5% of the money supply in Canada. The private banking system creates 95% as debt at substantial interest. The private banking system has succeeded in privatizing the money supply in Canada. Banks create money out of nothing.

  • Since 2005, Canadian taxpayers paid $350+ billion in interest on the national debt.

In fiscal year 2008-2009 the Canadian federal debt was $463.7 billion.

After April 1, 2009, the federal debt grew by $1,772.58 per second, $106,355 per minute, $6.4 million per hour, or $153 million every day.

By March 31, 2010, Canada's federal debt will increase to $519.6 billion or $15,000+ for every man, woman and child.

  • that's staggering!

  • Sadly, it's true. We all are in deep shit.

  • In 2009, the Federal Reserve engineered 20+ trillion dollar bailouts equaling 40% of the private wealth created in the US since 1776.

The deficit during October and November 2009 totaled $297 billion or $4.9 billion per day.

The Office of Management and Budget reports that the US government will experience deficits of tens of trillions of dollars for the next 70 years.

  • According to a recent Federal Reserve report, the private net worth in the United States (US) is $53.4 trillion. The debt and unfunded liabilities are $120 trillion or $389,610 for every man, woman and child. Dozens of US states are bankrupt.

In 2010, the US federal deficit is expected to be $1.6 trillion.

The US government is overspending by approximately $4.38 billion per day.

Since 1913, the Federal Reserve has devalued the US dollar by 98+%.

  • We have green grass and flowers year round in Vancouver, makes sense to have the winter games here???

Several property developers at Whistler wanted to make more money and they wanted the sea to sky highway fixed. Or course one of those property developers was on VANOC.

We'll be paying for the games for 35+ years. Although the nightly fireworks are nice, they aren't worth the money. Now we have 2 huge convention centres, when only 1 is needed.

  • The games are costing 7+billion so far. My guess is it will reach 8 or 9 billion, but we will never know because there is no real transparency.

Security is costing $1+ billion. Black helicopters have been buzzing the downtown area for more than six months. 100s of cameras have been placed downtown. How many of those will remain?

  • Stef, this is one of the most clear, concise and to the point videos you've made yet.

    Very impactful. Thanks!

  • cont'd...but just the basic premise that any olympic competition has EVER been ... See Moreon a level playing field between athletes or that the comp. is representative in any way of the "best" in the world is totally ludicrous! I love participating in sport..but this is not the true spirit of sport.

  • not only the sickening debt, the embarrassing flaunting of spending in the face of poverty-stricken hungry citizens in the same city as the revellers (and in Vancouver the fake "native Cdn." promotion by the Gov't that has and continues to abuse them makes me physically ill!!)...cont'd

  • As a wise philosopher from Compton California once said, "True dat!"

  • Great video

  • Oh Yes! Stef! ahahah

What a laugh by watching - That's great as usual :-)

I found the timing of your speech linked to the images very powerful - hahaha Excellent!

    Thanks Stef!

    Dr. TY

  • So true... rich dicks on ice.

  • I think most people's counter-argument would be "but we like to watch sports" and they like to watch humans competing as well as excelling. But that's where they stop thinking about it. They don't wanna think about anarchist alternatives because that's very demanding of their brain cells. They think they have more important things to think about and who has the right to say what is important in a relative world. - just my train of thought

  • @ kuriokazuki

haha... you'd think they would honor this Prometheus in the Olympics...

  • See the video of the man in Canada who was arrested for "stealing fire" - he only lit his cigarette on the olympic torch and caused no harm to anyone, then the POLICE jumped on him and attacked him and arrested him, even though there was no lawful reason to arrest him - there was no injured party / no "corpus delicti" for them to arrest him.

I wonder what they are going to charge him for? - Theft of fire?

  • Prometheus anyone?

  • Thanks Stefan. :D

  • And exactly who the fuck are you? Do you realize you have that huge sign on your pitiful back?

  • @familyvidslongave Sorry but you suck at trolling, try being a bit more subtle next time.

  • @familyvidslongave

Do you consider yourself one of the poor, or the "betters"?

Certainly the poor pay with something other than taxes. Perhaps the poor pay with their inequity.

Do you believe we live in a meritocracy and that the wealthy earn every penny?

Isn't it better to offer a meager service for meager pay than to accumulate rapacious wealth through fraud and tyranny?

I think your resentments come from within you. Perhaps eyes-open would be better.

  • "Isn't it better to offer a meager service for meager pay than to accumulate rapacious wealth through fraud and tyranny?"

SPOKEN LIKE A LOSER WHO WILL NEVER AMOUNT TO ANYTHING

  • Thanks for a good laugh @greywolf424

    I'm sure we'll all enjoy your all-caps comedy ;-)

  • Tough love dude... tough love. :-)

  • Man, I challenge anyone to prove anything he says wrong in this video. It's just spot on.

Maybe the statistics are debatable (I've heard that they actually spent 1 billion on security!) but I mean it's just spot on.

  • Great video stefan.

  • i was arrested for protesting in downtown Vancouver we tripled our budget total bullshit

  • @dopeskies

know how to protect your unalienable rights at common law. See Rob's lecutres:

    - "Bursting Bubbles of Government Deception"

    - "The Magnificent Deception"

If you are arrested, file claim or counterclaim in a "court of record", - a court proceeding according to the common law. Stand as "one of the People of Canada", establish the court of record and make claim damages because of injury.

They have no right to deny you your unalienable rights at common law as long as you're peaceful.

  • "They have no right to deny you your unalienable rights at common law as long as you're peaceful."

YOU'RE A FUCKING IDIOT WHO DOESN'T EVEN KNOW WHAT COMMON LAW IS.

  • Thanks for posting this...I was thinking about this too today, as I was watching the snow-boarding.

While I enjoyed some of the "games", and the human interest angle - they always try to find one athlete that had a hard time growing up or something - its true that these sports are mostly for the privileged.

They probably dont even realize how their "accident of birth" has given them opportunities and a sense of entitlement most of us will never know.

Oh well - the beach is still free.

  • I share in your irritation about the cost of hosting the games, as the massive stadium near me is a tremendous waste of money and another example of the poor giving more money to the rich... It is oppressive.

  • But at the same time... The world can get together and be civilized and play a game. At least someone is being recognized for being a world champion. It is inspiring to see people who can do amazing things. You don't have to just be privileged, or to start when you're two: you still have to be a special person to make it that far. There are a lot of good things about the Olympics.

  • lol loved the cow joke...thx for telling the true :D

  • forgot to say that i got a video out about the civil liberties being violated ...of cores its not being talked about in the media. please take a look at it all who is interested thanks

  • What are your sources?

  • Very well said! 5 Stars!

  • That was really poinient stephan, thanks.

  • Love it!! Well said!

  • I'm from Vancouver and have never supported the Olympics here. We didn't want it, but we're not allowed (at threat of arrest and charges) to complain or protest.

I think it's stupid that you rbouhgt up race though. I really don't think it has anything to do with it. Maybe white people tend to have more money to play expensive sports than other people, but that's not a problem with skiing and skating.

Football is racist because 90% of the players are black?

  • skiing and skating it is a problem, they are still very expensive for most people

my mom never signed me up for ice hockey because of the costs when i was younger

  • @Jangaboo

I can't do heliskiing or skydiving or parasailing because I don't have the money...

  • A beautifully compiled summary of the deployment of the s-port & arena mind control.

    Thanks 5*

  • Freedomain interview with Noam Chomsky????

  • I'd rather Noam was on for a debate... he really badly needs questioning, for his own sake, he lives in a world where his word is considered law because he's idolized, and it means doesn't practice critical thinking.

  • agreed

  • I remember the confused looks on the faces of peope in Sydney in 1992 or so when Berlin lost the bid for the games to Sydney, and the folks in Sydney saw people celebrating in Berlin because we were so happy we lost! There was a strong anti-Olympics movement here back then that had done the maths first.

  • What do you think of Noam Chomsky? And what do you think about his attitute about free market capitalism?

  • Why do you want to talk to that collectivist, white-guilt ridden, market-hating retard Noam Chomsky?

  • Insults signal lack of arguments.

  • Stef, thanks for saying all of this. Its embarrassing how much people cheer on the games without knowing the truth about how the games are funded. Thank you so much.

  • Taxpayers.....

Fortunately, in court, an IRS prosecutor cannot provide evidence that YOU are a Taxpayer.

ANY evidence requested in court has to be provided. Just don't expect a lawyer to do this for you, he will get disbarred. You will need to represent yourself.

Look up the - No State Project

  • Shit what about the hypocracy of the Olympics in terms of all the countries engaged in war at these games that were supposed to be about peace and humanity. What happened to banning countries that were engaged in war? But I guess that was all BS anyways, just like the games in general. Good points though, glad I'm not the only one that see these and every games as a cruel joke.

  • Stefbot, did you know that the famous Olympic torch relay (shown in the second half of the video) first started in 1936 in Berlin?

  • Ive said this so many times and I'll say it again, for a lonley pair of eyes that see , Stefan , you keep me sane , you really do!!! please never give up making these vids.... thank you thank you thank you lol xxxxx luv and light

  • Bread and circuses, blood and iron.

  • @Vid

    Interesting.

  • good stuff. 5 stars

  • lol 2:32 "call me"

  • every olympics is a plague. All channels are poisoned by the olympics events.. so thank myself for watching discovery and animal planet.

Thx for your interesting insight into things Stef !

  • Gold medal winning speed skater Shani Davis is the only black guy I've seen in the games.

Perhaps there are also some Jamaican bobsledders?

Stef is right, it's almost all honkies. There are some S. Koreans, Japanese and Chinese as well, especially in Short track speed skating.

The Olympics are the circus part of bread and circuses.

And most of the achievement is individual, yet statists try to make their achievements reflect on nations/govts instead of the individuals who earned them.

  • @freesk8 not all jamaicans are black

  • Agreed for the most part but hockey players are by no means known as rich kids, so I'm not big on collectivizing all the athletes together like that.

  • Really? Not rich kids? $20 for a Basketball and some shorts vs $500+ for hockey gear. AND you have to sharpen your skates before every game, which cost money. Most players have more than one stick because they break. Those run at several hundred a piece.

    How about track and field?

    Soccer?

    Even football is cheaper.

    You're blind.

  • Be nice =P

Now that convo you two are starting is going into tiny gritty details and exceptions that get thrown in any single line sentence. As with any mathematical equation.

You need to keep it high level. Anyone can argue about whether people with sticks and rubber pucks brush their teeth with an electric truth brush or a manual. It is just silly to begin with =P

  • Insulting me weakens your argument. Hockey is a middle class sport throughout much of Canada and the midwest U.S. Sure it costs more than some other sports but it is by no means to be compared to skiing and other winter sports in terms of cost, which is what Stef was referring to in the video.

  • Stef was talking about sport in general not about particular one.

  • He was talking about winter sports and grouping them all together. I'm not agruing with Stef's overall point, just that not all winter sports are "rich kid" sports.

  • growing up i couldn't play ice hockey as the equipment was just too expensive as was joining, its a lot of money, same with Skiing

felt left out as majority of my friends were playing Ice hockey

  • winter sports are more expensive

the equipment costs a lot of money and thats the reason i was never signed up for Ice hockey when i was younger

  • @Jangaboo nobody is arguing whether winter sports are more expensive or not. It's clear that most of them, such as skiiing, are more expensive than summer sports. However, the argument is hockey vs. skiing. hockey is now where even close to as expensive as skiing, and is not a "rich kid" sport. Even though hockey is more expensive than a lot of the summer sports, it's unfair to collectivize all winter sports as being for rich kids.

  • agree with you.

  • I think Stef's over-generalizing weakens his argument. But, even with the over-generalization, he makes a logical argument. Then again, it's easy to constantly criticize. I just now realized that I've never seen Stef make a video about some positive accomplishment of collective society.

  • Oh yeah and for Salt Lake City ... 17 days of Olympics that makes $36,764.70 per day per athlete.

I wonder how much their tights cost.

  • I knew the numbers were crazy but with a $156,250 salary to be a athlete in the Olympics -- wow.

First off I'd like to say I would slide down any icy f&8^ing hill for that (in any make shift sled - remember you only got to do it once ever 4 years).

six billion divided by 2.7 million (avg income approx. in a life span) = 2 222.22222 lives... good game.

Air this video right after one of them gets a gold. That would be a moment to remember.

  • of course when I say "salary" mean it in the context... relax.

  • @soupiepower: So because stolen money is spent on infrastructure we can't complain when it's spent on people sliding down a snowy hill?

    I'm not following the logic.

  • So the Games are a massive rip-off? TELL ME ABOUT IT.

I'm originally from Montreal, watched the MASSIVELY over-budget Games happen there in 76, and the fallout from the bills...

Now I get to watch the same thing happen here in Vancouver, where I live now.

I DID NOT BACK THE BID.

The bills are ON THEIR WAY...

Vancouver, bend over and wait for it... WARNING: IT'S A BIG ONE.

  • i don't even watch the olympics cos i dont care for it. never understood what the big hulabaloo is about.

  • Great, I've gone from ambivalent towards the Olympics to resentful.

  • every time i watch award shows or look at after parties and premieres i can't help but wonder how they pay for it. since im from a low income family cost is everything and always though about before purchasing. its a common habit of mine.

  • The pax of spending your own money.

  • the what? pax?

i dont support it then if its done by tax payers' money.

  • haha "call me"

  • I am a huge fan of the olympics ever since I was a kid. I am enjoying the Vancouver games very much at the moment.

Here are my views on Olympics.

First of all I want to say I agree with the olympic idea. To unite the people of the world to compete together. The idea is of peace, which I think if a very virtous cause.

Second of all, I really really hate the nationalism behind it.

Third, I do not believe it being on taxes, people who enjoy it, like me, should pay for it.

  • peace? really? if you think that, you got another thing coming.

  • I never thought about that... wow. Great video.

  • Sure it's a lifetime of debt, but to get to see Curling every 4 years makes it all worthwhile.

  • canadians *LOVE* curling...to them, it's 2nd to that other dumb ice sport.

  • You must be a queer.

  • Comment removed

  • My comment was for sniffsnarff, not you, sorry.

sniffsnarff was referring to hockey. But he's just too much of a pussy to play the game or know anything about it.

  • @VCADD well i don't wanna live in debt forever. do you?

  • That was dripping with acrid acid. LOL.

Awesome video Stef! Thanks for the sobering and timely reminder.

  • Such a shame there's no unsettled land on earth now. The US really should be split into several nations, or at least resurrect the 10th amendment. I'm looking for small messages that resonate with people, such as (for business owners) adding a 40% surcharge for those who vote for big govt Republicans or Democrats, who make everyone lose around 40% of our income to government.

  • That's practical.

  • isnt socialised cost & privatised profits a facet of fascist economics?

  • no such thing as a "taxpayer".

  • Oh?

  • oh yes, I like to point that too. Taxes are stolen of taken by fraud. (when people believe they are doing it right)

  • tax cows?

  • tax objects.

  • chattel

  • Stef makes some very important points. Many athletes get tons of subsidies. Not only during Olympics and other large sports events, but also all the time in between.

The politicians say it's for the country, so "we" can have good athletes, but they use stolen money to support people that THEY like!

And what do we get from this? An overpriced, drugged, sports industry where athletes risk their lives for money.

It's no different form the Roman gladiator fights: Kill people to keep the mob happy.

  • Could you do something on Greece? I think it's ridiculous that just a couple of years ago they had these Olympic games which they couldn't afford and today we (EU citizens) have to come save their economy while their stadiums fall into ruins because of disuse.

  • @ganymedic yes you're quite right about Athens.. apparently no one uses the facilities there at all.. property taxes went up by 20% here in London to help pay for the 2012 games.. I hate the event myself..

  • I think it's hilarious that the Mormons tripped over themselves to host the Olympics because they thought it would fulfil a prophecy.

  • the athletes are probably just as ignorant as the rest of the people about who really subsidizes these things.

  • i would recommend everyone to also watch watch?v=CdBmCaGLBXM.

    Especially Canadians.

  • Hey Stef, what are your sources for these statistics? I don't doubt their accuracy, but I was having a discussion with my parents and they basically told me that the Olympics is filled with poor athletes in need of money, although they somewhat acknowledge the economic disasters which the event causes. Thought it would be useful if I could send them links to the sites with the official figures.

  • I totally agree. Some athletes maybe rich kids, I think most are not. There are many that become rich when they excel in their respective sports, but many athletes start out poor and finish poor. They do it because of a passion for their sport and sacrifice made by family and friends.

  • @soupiepower Of course, even if this is the case, this doesn't justify the violently-enforced transfer of wealth from the public to the athletes.

  • @OriginalityEatsYou I agree that this doesn't justify the transfer of wealth from the public to the athletes. "violently-enforced transfer of wealth from the public to the athletes", that's going a bit too far dude. If the Olympics were actually a benefit to the host city and Country it would be awesome. Very little of the wealth that comes from the public actually goes to the athletes. You are a bit delusional. It goes to over priced infrastructure and corrupt companies.

  • How is that going to far? Any money taken in taxes is violently enforced. Try not paying your taxes and see what happens.

  • @soupiepower Fair enough, although even if the money WERE to go to the athletes, I still don't see it as a reasonable exchange, as the interaction is still ultimately upheld at the point of a gun.

If all of the money that the state publicly claims is going to the athletes is actually going to "over priced infrastructure and corrupt companies" then why is nobody talking about this? Why have no athletes come forward about this discrepancy? Shouldn't they be pissed off?

  • @OriginalityEatsYou It's a reasonable exchange if the money going to the athletes equates into a positive return for said government. The interaction is not "ultimately upheld at the point of a gun" because the average person is too stupid to realize that tax payer money is being taken for the wrong reason's.

  • People don't realize that all the money that the state publicly claims is going 2 the athletes is actually going 2 the " over priced infrastructure and corrupt companies" is because the media tells the people it's Ok if we go over budget or any shit like that because we will do great at the Olympics. Stupid people believe this. Athletes have not come forward because they don't know about this discrepancy. They are like everyone else, too busy to know whats happening. They should be pissed off

  • @OriginalityEatsYou A poor athlete is like a country singer whining about how his wife left him. PUT YOUR G-DAMN GUITAR DOWN and go win your wife back! A "starving artist" or "poor athlete" is the same, they need to put their HOBBY aside, and find some activity for which others will compensate them. For that reason, art and music and all other hobbies should naturally gravitate towards uplifting productive themes instead of whiny complaining so symptomatic of today's parasitic culture.

  • @hughtub Yeah, I know, it's bullshit. I wasn't on my parent's side at all in this debate. Of course, it's completely possible for an athlete or musician to have a successful and profitable career based on voluntary contracts, but this is seldom the case, particularly for low-ranking Olympic athletes. These subsidies are ridiculous.

  • yup

  • I agree. The olympics is a joke. It's a huge waste of $ and in 20 years, what will this year's olympics mean? It's also divisive. Us/them. It's time to shut down the olympics.

  • what pisses me off is Iike sports. I play sports and I watch them too. With out the government I think watching sports would be popular. I have no emotional investment in the 100m but I enjoyed those 10s.

  • for a year as a kid I raced luge. not the billion dollar track stuff you see on tv. but what called natural luge it cost nothing to do. the sleds were borrowed from the private university that offered a course to its students. the coach was a volunteer. the track was a trail in a valley. Even the major competition we stayed in schools and the course was built on a toboggan hill. my point is sport competition can be without government and still provide entertainment and make money.

  • Stefan, I think that this is huge! This is the Action Plan the people need to hear. This kind of attitude is what wakes them up. And if it doesn't, we should all take our fucking dolls and move to Mars.

  • You hit it on the nail Stef! Good video.

  • If so much money is made through the Olympics, why aren't they hosted in poor countries?

  • @hydraslisk125

This is because the money spent on sports entertainment distract the masses, it is sort of a sedative.

It is profitable for the State and their corporate buddies.

People who are ignorant are sad because of this ignorance.

They need to distract themselves from the fact of how pathetic they are.

They need to release the anger caused by self-denial by participating in tribalism.

They need to "belong" to some fraternal group.

They need to find a reason to meet with others.

  • But mommy that man is naked!

  • But mommy, countries don't actually exist!

  • great vid mr molyneux!

  • I've only recently discovered Stef, but have since watched many of his videos. I have noticed this trend in the videos I have watched. There seems to be a point where he switches from analyzing facts to using rhetoric. I wish he'd stick to just analyzing the facts because he does have good insight, but the rhetoric ends up turning me off.

  • Not that I get a choice, but I'd rather subsidize sports than machines of war any day. You've given me a lot to think about with this one Mr. Molyneaux. Many sports are in fact profitable in venues not subsidized like the Olympics (and yes, more likely just hobbies done very well). I liked snowboarding a lot better 20 years ago before it was highly exploited (nice clip of Shaun White there, BTW) and we weren't "rich kids" by any stretch of the imagination. Ponder your assertions here, I will.

  • For the most part mom & pop subsidised these kids 20 yrs ago from my experience

  • 5 stars stef! thanks, in complete agreement.

  • The debt for the Montreal Olympics lasted longer than several of the Countries that participated.

"Tried and true" Bread and Circuses, oh my yessir indeedy!

Tell it like it is, Mr. Stef. Nicely produced video, too.

  • Absolutely right on here Stef.

I've seen this pretty close up many times.

    e.g.

I remember a local gov where i lived spent 95% of the "annual recreation budget" (or whatever they called it), for the region to build a horse riding centre. To use this place, you had to have your own horse. How many local kids had their own horse?

Apparently a couple of politicians on the committee had children who had horses.

You couldn't make this stuff up.

Nice vid - Thanks very much

  • LOL at the "Call me" mine and mouthing haha

  • what does the phone at the side of your face indicate when you say Chomsky?
