I was at that game, 3-0 to the Lilywhites if I'm not mistaken. A guy I worked with at Rumbelows was a Watford fan so we were in the middle of their end. We cheered all the goals and went nuts over this one. Steve Sherwood was 6'4" and if you check the tape he was only a yard off his line. Hoddle is God no question.
Great goal by Glenn Hoddle. What a talent! I wish the Premiership had some players like him in it. By the way the Watford goalkeeper was Steve Sherwood.

That little stutter-step right before Hoddle unleashes the shot was nice. Should've been capped WAY more times for the 3 Lions than he was, IMHO.
