Gamers like me enjoy this game. It gives you the great feeling when you hear the Screaming when you stick a lightsaber through their Stomach....GREAT GAME, I played the demo, and this game is AMAZING, you can shock, Throw, AND throw lightsabers INTO people!!!! Also, I have the CHeat Explosion Book, because you can get CHARACTER CHEATS AND PLAY AS THE EMPEROR AND STUFF!!! This game is truly amazing.
if u want best graphics and best gameplay get either a 360 or a ps3 and buy the damn game. it probably costs from 20.00-50.00 dollars not a lot. trust me its awesome.

Also if you think the lightsaber looks basic; you get upgrades that effect the way it looks (Basic/Pulsating/Unstable) different colors, damage effects. Plus YouTube just really doesn't do the graphics justice.

u know ther's a much easier way that works well even on sith lord difficulty just use the [] triange triangle combo (or x, y, y for 360) this makes it lightning frozen so just repeat and its fucked :)

Oh, and also, their won't be a KOTOR 3, they dropped that game when they started making TFU. There are rumors going about that says the next game will be another "before the saga" game though, so you can look forward to something like KOTOR!

I don't have any idea of the ps3 graphics, but I noticed in part 1/2 of these videos his eyes weren't well detailed and one of the tags is X-Box 360, I hope they fix this for both of the systems.
Also the gameplay is a lot like God of War, I like it!
The reason y the lightsabers wont chop limbs off is because Lucasarts wants more people to buy it if its t, than m. althogh it would be cooler if the lightsaber did do tht.
i have downloaded this demo on my x box 360 and havent got passed the boss at the end. any tips on how to defeat it? i notice you have to hit the buttons in the correct order in order to initiate a finishing move on the boss, is this true?

Well, I give you credit for pointing out the things I do like about it. As I said, the saber part was the only part I DIDN'T like about it, implying that I liked the rest, WHICH I DO.
But yes, I'm an outcast fan boy that likes watching body parts being severed off and the occasional beheading.
I agree, I miss being able to throw the saber at someone and watch them lose their head, as it was. But, I think being able to hurtle people THROUGH windows with the force makes up for it.
It looks a lot like a star wars version of god of war... Except they should have an option for dismemberment like in Outcast, otherwise this is going to blow. Dismemberment was what made Outcast so great, and one hit kills with a light saber WOULD be realistic, instead of a combo button masher like God of War or Ninja Gaiden. In my opinion, Outcast is probably going to stay better, because of the realistic saber combat.
Apparently you didn't read the comments on the first part of the video...go back, scroll down a bit, and look for the 2 comments made by GeneCircuit. You'll then see why they can't do that. And why it would be extremely boring. Also, how is it realistic? Like Gene said, you need the special tech in Force Unleashed, or else everything and everyone will pretty much act the same way over and over and over. I don't see how that's any more realistic then The Force Unleashed.

WELL, the physics of lightsabers ARE realistic as far as the idea of a laser that is so energetic it can cut through metal and human flesh pretty easily... Seeing from movies AND books. And since when is THE FORCE realistic? Think about that before you start to argue. Lightsabers are supposed to CUT THROUGH SHIT EASILY. This game does not imply that, besides when he does the same animation of cutting through an imperial walker 5234 times... And from what I heard he can cut droids. I rest my case

The saber cannot cut through what every star wars movie and book say it can, and they spent all this time on other engines when they should have focused on that, IF THEY WANTED REALISTIC SABER COMBAT. No you cant... Altough it says so as there is NO netplay on ps3 and xbox360 its possible only on psp and ds if i remember right (yeah and wii has duel mode).
And even in KOTOR it took more than 12 hits to kill something with a lightsaber. So...there's really no game that has it where you kill someone in one hit while wielding a lightsaber.
Anywho, the game looks like a good time. THink I'll but it.
it doesnt take three hits to kill a stormtrooper its just that he kept hitting attack so the combo kept going after they died. and if you could kill everything (even ATSTs) with one hit it would be way to easy. it takes two hits with a saber to kill shit in battlefront II
damn =/ i was expecting better... the lightsaber should do MUCH more damage than it does... it sucks that it doesnt do (most of the time) what a real lightsaber does in the fils... it CUTS. for example.. as soon as he attacks the ATST's leg, it should slice off, but no it just reduces life, and also, the storm troopers take 3 hits to die, which they DO NOT need... too bad :( they really should've invested in another KOTOR as |OSrgr8t said.
if it did so much damage this game would be boring and you can kill the stormtroopers in one hit he doesn't fall down because you keep hitting in my opinion its much better this way than one hit kills and stuff
I am sorry, but i think is really disapointing. Its not right that it take three hits from a lightsabre to kill a stormtrooper when they can be killed by a small wooden spear. I think they should just have invested in another KOTOR.
That ATST battle is awesome! I just throw objects and lighting on it and kill the stormies before finishing it. That reactin command cutting that in half is so good. I'm looking forward with more combo's and the saber dual. Chad Vader sounds good in this game.

I had my doubts about this game at first. Star Wars did great with Knights Of The Old Republic and Battlefront, but they've always lagged behind in the level based hack-and-slash games. After playing the demo, I'm happy to say that The Force Unleashed promises to be one of the best games of the year.
However, I still believe Fallout 3 will be game of the year.

Aside from how the apprentice can take a million hits and be fine and the Stormtroopers not using melee attacks when you are close, the game looks awesome.

Well, they did mention in KotOR 1 that the red sabers the Sith use have synthetic crystals, much less powerfull then original ones...
Maybe the Apprentice just got stuck with a 2nd hand synthetic red saber crystal...

Guess you failed to read the part that said the Wii version gets extra content.
And who cares about graphics? If the story is kick ass and the gameplay blows your brains out, gimme old-gen graphics any day. Better then a smooth-as-silk graphics but with the depth of a lightsaber beam game.

No you cant... Altough it says so as there is NO netplay on ps3 and xbox360 its possible only on psp and ds if i remember right (yeah and wii has duel mode).

And even in KOTOR it took more than 12 hits to kill something with a lightsaber. So...there's really no game that has it where you kill someone in one hit while wielding a lightsaber.
Anywho, the game looks like a good time. THink I'll but it.

it doesnt take three hits to kill a stormtrooper its just that he kept hitting attack so the combo kept going after they died. and if you could kill everything (even ATSTs) with one hit it would be way to easy. it takes two hits with a saber to kill shit in battlefront II

damn =/ i was expecting better... the lightsaber should do MUCH more damage than it does... it sucks that it doesnt do (most of the time) what a real lightsaber does in the fils... it CUTS. for example.. as soon as he attacks the ATST's leg, it should slice off, but no it just reduces life, and also, the storm troopers take 3 hits to die, which they DO NOT need... too bad :( they really should've invested in another KOTOR as |OSrgr8t said.

if it did so much damage this game would be boring and you can kill the stormtroopers in one hit he doesn't fall down because you keep hitting in my opinion its much better this way than one hit kills and stuff

I am sorry, but i think is really disapointing. Its not right that it take three hits from a lightsabre to kill a stormtrooper when they can be killed by a small wooden spear. I think they should just have invested in another KOTOR.

That ATST battle is awesome! I just throw objects and lighting on it and kill the stormies before finishing it. That reactin command cutting that in half is so good. I'm looking forward with more combo's and the saber dual. Chad Vader sounds good in this game.

LOL Same here i was playing the demo just this morning and i thought..."I wish there was blood in this game to make it more effect when you chop a StormTrooper...But the only blood that i have seen in this demo is the blood on the characters arm =S ..(soz forgort his name) well if that is blood anyway...But this is still a pretty cool game i just wanna modifiy it with guts and blood driping out as soon as you slice an enemy! that would be awsome! and i love the fact that you are evil this time..

No i've played the demo on my 360. Its shit, force powers render the lightsaber useless and you can't run and block at the same time.
So you are forced to stand still and I can imagine when the later levels get much harder it will be an annoying aspect

I had my doubts about this game at first. Star Wars did great with Knights Of The Old Republic and Battlefront, but they've always lagged behind in the level based hack-and-slash games. After playing the demo, I'm happy to say that The Force Unleashed promises to be one of the best games of the year.
However, I still believe Fallout 3 will be game of the year.

Aside from how the apprentice can take a million hits and be fine and the Stormtroopers not using melee attacks when you are close, the game looks awesome.

why don't u all just chillax, and enjoy the game! isn't that what having and playing a game is all about? of course it doesn't dismember people, cuz then it would have gotten a M rating, and then they would have less sales, and younger people wouldn't be able to enjoy it! But i have to admit, it would be cool, but like assault says, its more about using the force!
