My dad has the same exact truck as yours. He has had it since may and its got 11,000 miles on it. He loves it. The only difference is we got the chrome on the mirrors and the navigation. He also put on some ranchhand bumpers on it too. Enjoy your truck man. Cheers
Since you asked...Would have taken the Duramax myself or a Cummins with the manual trans. seems like ford pulled some dirty tricks witht that truck, for example they upped their numbers with a tune (not real power IMO) and really missed the whole exaust brake, and frame concept... power to you and to each their own. I will stay subbed for the fix or repair daily updates =P
@johnson200gw my previous 3 vehicles were GM and the build quality dont seem to compare to Ford, Granted I think the Duramax/Allison combo is hard to beat..for the cummins it's the only thing keeping Ram Heavy Duty alive!

The GM's had problems mechanically? I think ford has awesome suspension but i'd take the duramax/allison if i were getting a diesel. I am curious how the new 6.7s do longevity wise though
@Tdaz250 Yeah, it was in the shop like 7 different times for the same problem. All 3 I had problems, The 06 the rear diff went out, the 07 had ALOT of slop in the whole driveline and the couldnt fix it, and the 08 had the same problems as the 08..
@Tdaz250 I have had 3 Chevys and all 3 have had problems, I had a 07 Sierra and it got lemon lawed on me, then the 08 I have in my viedos started doing the same thing the 07 did. The seats rattled the bed shook like no other, and I "baby" my trucks. Then I got a new ford work truck Drove the living crap out of it and never had any problems I did with GM, So I bought the Ford and the difference in build quality, Ford is Bailout Free for a reason!
